IMO you just can't give up on a man who has power and excellent defense like Guzman has. Good hitting instructions could prove to be invaluable given a season to get it down. I say this because we are not going very far this year so it is a perfect time to get Guzman rolling.

2B is entirely a different story and I have no idea what to expect more than what we have already seen. Still hope a miracle is over the horizon.

my big hang up with condor is his position. Many teams hide a guy there who can barely field, but has a huge huge bat.

since mark teixera was traded, the rangers have pretty much been bottom of the league in first base production.

I acknowledge Guzman’s defense, but my concern is simply that his bat doesn’t need to grow a little bit, it needs to be 2 or 3 times effective as last year to fit first base at a major league level.

The point is, we have plenty of time to help develop him since we are not going any where. I think it is reasonable that he could hit .250 with playing time and hitting instructions for one year and certainly nothing to lose.

I feel the same way about our young pitching. If they aren't going anywhere then let at least one of the younger guys earn a spot in the rotation. Instead, they signed mediocre free agents to pitch in the rotation.

They can't pay everyone and Betts made it clear he wants to test free agency. Hard to blame Boston.

not happy about JD's lack of movement toward improving a mediocre infield defense but i'm willing to wait and see on his pitching moves. wish you would but it would go against your trends

I hope it’s enough to keep them away from the World Series. I know that roster is unfortunately still very strong.

The thing is, we differ on what a lot of terms mean as well as our overall goals for the team.
