Seems like a mediocre trade to me.

I honestly can’t remember the last time we came out on the “winning” end of a transaction.

Milwaukee took us behind the woodshed a few times and the dodgers bent us over once.

Love Profar but’s if you can’t extend him then you trade him in a rebuild.

Not seeing why this is automatically considered a bad trade at this point. Do you sit on him and let him walk?

Rather extend him and play third and drive in runs. Gallo would be my choice of trade.

If they had treated Profar better along the way then he might have been happy to be extended. The way they treated him going down the stretch in 2017 was probably the straw that broke the camel's back.

The fact that he won't be here when this club is ready to compete again will be because of an organizational failure. There have been quite a few of those over the past few years.

I agree with poster above.

Would’ve rather kept Profar and traded Gallo or odor.

Not to beat a dead horse but heard they did try to talk extension to Profar but no luck with Boras as agent. Pretty obvious thought that he has more value at 2B than 3B. He was a fav player of mine though so I get the whole hurt and disappointment although blame is a bit unjustified to such an acute degree.

according to multiple sources the Rangers tried to get him and Boros to agree to a multi-year extension and were told basically "no way in hell" would they do it

Maybe he is in a writing slump.

Touché. He used to be your boy.... a little to much Kinsler fanfare for my taste.

One thing not mentioned much is concern that Profar may perhaps be susceptible to reinjury. We shall see how that plays out

To me I always liked his intangibles perhaps more than I should given some base running gaffes and wish he was a bit speedier.

Quite frankly I don’t blame them after the rangers have favored odor over the years ( for some odd reason)

Profar was definitely mismanaged here and I wouldn’t be surprised if he blows up in Oakland.

Hopefully the guy we brought in from the dodgers organization knows what he’s doing. Banny and wash didn’t impress me at all.

I like following Adam because of his information. I find myself disagreeing with his opinions and the way he disagrees very often.
