This makes it seem like you were expecting at least close to 72 wins and not 62 or less.
actually all it established a starting point based on what some oddsmakers were posting. I never stated what my figure was only ask what others thought.

I've nener been able to predict wins/losses. To many variables in the game. A fellow named Tommy John can change things in a hurry.

I believe I said that in between the two years he missed from injury. Right around the time you feel we should have torn the team down and started rebuilding.
Yeah, it was when they finally decided to do corrective surgery on his shoulder. I remember Romeo asking you if we should just launch Profar to the sun. lol

Then sometimes a season like 2014 comes along.

Wow. Profar traded. Thoughts
1. We had a lot of hopes and dreams for this guy that just did not work
2. Wash should have played him. injuries really hurt bad And he got much better
3. He has more value at SS but really now 2B
4 We signed Odor which hurt his long term plans
5 We are in a rebuild. So this can not be a surprise. Hopefully we got some good guys and pitching works out
6. That the way Baseball go!

I really hope he has turned it around, but they are basing this off of a month and a half is basically what he is saying. We shall find out soon enough.

One thing about the trade, Odor can relax. I am just not sure we want a relaxed Odor.

#6? We'll see.:noidea:
To me, he belongs down between Owen White and Tyler Philips about #14. And I still think A J Alexy might be better as well.

Once Seise proves he is healthy I don't think he stays below Eli White on anyone's list.

Trading for a lefty starting pitcher makes me wonder if 2 or 3 years from now we will be having the same conversation about all the lefty pitchers that we have been having about the lefty bats in the OF.

Burke, Hearn, Palumbo, and Ragans are all LH. Of course, those first 2 may wind up in the pen.

So what do we think about this trade? I’m entirely out of touch.

Burke is the key. He turned his season around over the last 6 weeks or so and some pundits think that means he should be the Rangers 6th best prospect ahead of Hearn, Palumbo and Ragans. That seems very premature to me.

I am not crazy about the trade, but at least we never had to launch Profar to the sun. lol
