This is exactly what happened. Remember they started talking about a military name right after Dan gave up the name Redskins. Dan was all up RR's ass then ... he and RR walked hand in hand on this one.

Dan has done one thing well in his life. He found a way to make enough money to become the Redskins owner. He failed at Six Flags, he failed with Tom Cruise and he failed at the radio station. He has failed with countless coaches, Vinny, Bruce and numbers of players.

I do not expect anything different now.

He could have used some of his billions to pick a name that would be popular with the fans but Dan has NEVER done anything for the fans. He only did the Sean Taylor thing to try and quiet other noise and he and Wright screwed that up. Sadly Wright is just another Vinny or Bruce, he does what Dan wants and is well payed for it. That will continue until Dan tires of him or wants to blame him for something.

I could be proven wrong in a week, but that crest with "The People's Team" wreaks of Dan trying to match Jerry with America's Team. Same with those stupid ass embarrassing benches that he took to an indoor stadium in Arlington, and to Philly which had nothing to do with what Dallas did.
