Just saw list of eight,,, lets break it down. Armada sounds like a fucking hotel. Ill be checking in to the Washington Armada... fucking idioctic.
Redhogs,,, wtf,,, I thought hogs were pink like Mansters puddy.
Redwolves I heard was out already.
Presidents is just completely idiotic.
Football team is just plain embarrassing
So that leaves just three,,, Defenders, Brigade and Commanders.

The capitol of US and Commanders is hard to say with a straight face so now we down to two.

Defenders or Brigade.... Gotta tell ya,,, Brigade sounds like a force of unity to be reckoned with. Just gotta change up on the red and go black,,, intimidation is the name of the game

I got Redskins stuff i got Washington football team stuff .. and i will buy the new name stuff.. been a Washington fan since 1988 no turning back now .. i just won't be hard core and eat ,sleep and think Washington Football 24/7 they better start winning like i said at the beginning of the year alot of fans will hate the name but if washington was a 10 plus win team this year people would love the name no matter what .. Clevend Indians fans are going through the same thing we are not alone and other teams in the future will go though this . Chiefs, Braves, etc etc

I'm sure I'll be disappointed, but im kinda getting excited for Feb. 2.

The name Redskins provided me so much joy as a youth. From the ages of seven to 16 I saw the Redskins go to four Super Bowls and win three.

From then on minus a year or two they have brought me nothing but heartache, pain and embarrassment.

Snyder is so bad I feel he doesn't even deserve the Redskins name and all that name entails. The rich history. The Darrell Green's, the Art Monk's.

Let that name die. Let it rest in peace before Snyder has a chance to sully it even further.

If the new name is remotely decent I will try to use it. If it's absolutely trash I will probably still use Skins.

My son is 22. I want him to experience what I experienced.

February 2nd will hit like a ton if bricks I'm sure. It's gonna sting.

If they get the re-brand right I will give it a chance and hopefully from here on out the new name will be a name my son can be proud of an won't have to hang his head because he roots for the perennial loser Washington Redskins.

kbso, god bless you man ... you are selling yourself on a/the new name. I hope it is something you like. After 58 years they will always be the Redskins. You are right about Dan not deserving the name and I hope the same for your son. For 20 years the Redskins were a good team.

I enjoyed seeing Joe Rutgen's name in the post about the top 15 1st round picks. He was good on a bad defense when I first became a Redskin fan. I had to laugh at Sean Taylor being picked as best. Top 15 yes, best ... no way.

Right or wrong the name Redskins is a laughing stock for anyone under 30. Don't get me wrong, in a perfect world we never change the name, but seeing Burgundy and Gold on my TV on Sundays will lessen the blow. Hoping my son and this team get a fresh start.
