Why can the o/line stay healthy but BSJ can’t dean ? Your argument is BSJ can’t stay healthy so you justify getting more DBS but during BSJ’s tenure here the o/line can’t either but we should be “ ok”. Mind you now or secondary was rated top ten last year while our o/line was in the 30’s

we were on our 3rd center last year. lol. I had more justification other than BSJ. I already pointed that out. Martin was not a luxury pick b/c i believe he will fill McCanns role and more. We got good safety play last year from Forrest and Curl when healthy which helped that secondary rating.

The team had CB as #1 priority in the draft. They had their reasons. You still won't let go that this team had Forbes rated higher than the Georgia LT. lol.

Butler can do that role . You seem to think my main beef is that forbes pick , it’s not it’s the combination of both picks

no, just bustin your chops about the Forbes pick. Butler cannot do that role b/c he cant play cb\slot Cb. Go look at the combine numbers for Martin and Butler, Martin is the better overall athlete and can play more positions. This is what i was told. If the staff thought Butler could do McCanns job they would have never drafted Martin. They felt Martin was the better overall player hence the 2nd round pick status. Butler looks like a backup right now.

no, it's a huge risk they are taking with this interior front. no argument. I know you wanted JMS with our 2nd round pick. He would have provided good depth but wouldn't have started over Gates. Even if Gates gets hurt, we still have Larsen and Stromberg to fill in.

Ok I will go over this slowly , BSG can take Mccains slot snaps , hell you have fuller who can take them and butler can take outside cb snaps ,Buffalo snaps and safety snaps . Oh the and now the injury prone Larsen is in play and the 3rd round , 5th rated center stepping in as a rookie

Butler is not an outside CB. You are debating Martin was a luxury pick., It wasn't b/c he will play meaningful snaps this year. If he rides the bench or doesn't play a meaningful role in the defense then you are absolutely right, I think he will.

do you even watch tape ? i have posted snaps counts of butler playing CB martin is a luxury pick even if he does well dean because they failed to address o/line properly

Butler was drafted as a safety to backup Curl and compete Forrest. He wasnt meant for the hybrid role. If he was Martin wouldnt have been drafted
