Yes, but the HOF is an individual honor.

Like I said earlier, this isn't a slight on Irvin. It's just that people forget how dominant TO was.

Being weird & kind of a douche nozzle notwithstanding.
U slammed Irvin

Irvin wasn't even as good as Tim Brown. And the aforementioned 4 players are well above Tim Brown.

I'd put Irvin above Andre Reed but below Tim Brown. That's called being objective, not slamming the guy.

winning is what the game is about.

terrell was good over a long period of time, but never led the league in receiving yards.

Irvin led the league in receiving yards 1 time. Owens was always near the top. And he led the league in receiving TDs 3 times, which Irvin never did.

And if you want to talk receiving yards, Owens is #2 all time behind Jerry Rice (who was a cheater, BTW).

And you can't go down the "winning" road without sliding down an extremely slippery slope. Larry Fitzgerald & Randy Moss never won a SB, either.

Which makes him different than tens of other guys who had HOF numbers and had to wait in what way?

No.

His numbers were right at the top.

He didn't gamble.

He was uppity to the extreme. Bipolar? And folks just don't like him.

But he is very much 1st ballot hall of fame material. I don't pay attention, but who got in ahead of him?

That won't make my wall either.

You should have my job..... It's a goodie. Read a novel for 2 hours 1st thing in the AM, before going for a 3 km swim, returning just in time for a coffee, and squeeze in a little work, followed by lunch, surfing here of course while eating, then out the door heading for a fun drive home before 3 PM.

TO had a very good Super Bowl vs NE with Philly. Playing injured, he was not the reason Philly lost a close one.

like i said owens has impressive career stats, but did not have dominant single seasons like calvin johnson, rice, bruce, moss, or harrison.

irvin had great post season stats.

irvin's six career 100-yard receiving days are just two shy of the NFL mark held by Jerry Rice (8). His 87 postseason receptions place him second in NFL playoff history, again behind Rice (151), and his 1,315 postseason receiving yards ranks second to Rice (2,245), a Hall of Fame inductee.

irvin was a leader, and a winner, owens a whiner, and here he is showing it again.

His SB was very impressive. TO shouldn't have been suited up for that game.

Typical T.O. If he wants it that way, let him have it.

No one really cares.

Sure of he retires tomorrow . But he won't. He's going to end up top 5-10 I'm nearly every relevant passing stat , have at least 1 MVP and 1 Super Bowl appearance ( minimum ) and he's currently top 3 all time in playoff QB ratibg . Thats a substabtially better resume than a lot of QBS who are already in Canton . 5 or 6 more typical years and he's a lock

He's not even a top 5 QB in his own era.....but you think he'll be a HOF lock playing his norm for the next 5 or 6 years? Good luck with that.

Without a doubt and it's not close. By the time he's done he's a lock and what ers are you talking about ? The guy is 32 years old and will likely played til 2025. There's not one guy drafted in his year or after who us even close to his resume . Even if you go back a few years prior the only guy ahead of him is Rodgers . Unless you're saying his era started when he was 11 years old you're wrong
