You said he reminds you of Crouch, and to me, that is an insult to Crouch. I have seen just as much as you have (unless you were sneaking into practices), and I have not seen another player, at Nebraska, that had the explosiveness that Crouch had.

I also do not buy into Martinez's speed, he is fast, but not blazing fast (sorry, I don't believe the newspaper hype, he is NOT the fastest guy on the team). Crouch didn't have the "top end speed" of some players, but when he punched the gas...he was smokin'! I do not see that from "T-Mart".

The guy has some wheels, but don't go comparing him to one of the most dynamic running QBs in college football history.

I agree and not only that, but Crouch didn't throw games away practically by himself like Martinez has.

Martinez is a Sophomore............and he's more immature than a lot of sophomores in the country to be honest.

The potential upside to the kid is ridiculous. We just need to be patient, and see what happens here in the near future.

Who gives a shit what his throwing motion looks like. The kid has turned the ball over only 2 times since the Wisconsin game when he turned it over 3 times in that one game!!!!!!

If he can continue to mature, he will be just what we need for the direction that Tim Beck wants to go with the offense.

Martinez may get a little better than he is now, but he doesn't have limitless potential.
