Epic all I was trying to say is his home run threat to take it the distance He does have the same type of speed Eric Crouch did as a husker. We don't have anyone on offense that can do that besides Niles Paul. You wanna take my post out of context and make it sound like I think he is the second coming I never said that. I also stated he needs to grasp the passing game. He will be on the field this fall run the joker formations for Nebraska. Did I say he was gonna take Lee's job Fuck No! Some of you need to take a chill pill and relax.

You said he reminds you of Crouch, and to me, that is an insult to Crouch. I have seen just as much as you have (unless you were sneaking into practices), and I have not seen another player, at Nebraska, that had the explosiveness that Crouch had.

I also do not buy into Martinez's speed, he is fast, but not blazing fast (sorry, I don't believe the newspaper hype, he is NOT the fastest guy on the team). Crouch didn't have the "top end speed" of some players, but when he punched the gas...he was smokin'! I do not see that from "T-Mart".

The guy has some wheels, but don't go comparing him to one of the most dynamic running QBs in college football history.

He was a 3 star...#15 PRO STYLE QB...Colt and Martinez are totally different players. IMO, he is SIMILAR to Tate Forcier, only lightly faster, but Forcier looks to be a better passer.

I like the Forcier comparison better. Touche sir. Also, i'm sure you knew Forcier and Green were in the same class... I have a very interesting tidbit for you that I have decided worthy to turn into a new thread... Stay tuned.

Well Epic I'm sorry thats an insult to you for me to compare a kid like Taylor to Eric. Epic if the kid would of had a few more blocks in the spring game he would of had over 100 easy in the first half. He does have legit home run speed.

But Hey Crouch quit the Huskers before Solich came to Omaha to get him back and to me thats ultimate insult. I know he came back but still he quit and that says something about the man. I lost a lot of respect for the kid that day.

I do both. I actually just picked up running. However, I am usually the exception to the rule.

If you're serious, that's impressive. I'm never one to question "exception to the rule", I absolutely get that!

However, if you do it simultaneously, that, I must see!! haha! :D

I haven't even thought of doing it simultaneously... sounds like a new workout routine for me :D

He just didn't develop as a passer the way I thought he might. Still called it!! 2 yrs later and he's fully entrenched as the starter.

I wes a huge supporter of Lord when he was our QB...........but the reality is, he had a pretty dadburn good offensive line..........and one hell of a TE that made his throwing stats look better than they should have been

He's getting better..........

Still wish we had jamal lord instead of taylor though

The one thing I remember most about Lord was his ability to chuck furniture! Do you remember the night his girlfriend called the police to her apartment to check out his furniture chucking skills? A also remember how his receivers wanting no part of his passing drills in practice because he used furniture instead of a football! Their hands bled too much after catching a few pieces of furniture!
