They didn't call him the California magic man for nothing. I said on the disney boards that he looks just like Colt McCoy. I think he might be perfect for our offense and he fits that College QB mold, and he ought to have the playbook down by then.

Either way I think he'll be providing some good competition and depth.

I'm not so sure he'll have the arm of McCoy from those highlight clips, but I'm sure he's developed some since then. I'm more impressed with his scrambling ability under pressure, unlike what we saw from Lee during the season. This kid would likely flourish under a system that utilizes the option pass plays more often - but that means we also have to have a more consistent running game. If Helu and Burkhead (maybe Robinson too) can deliver, this guy could be a great weapon.

The biggest thing that pops out is 4.4 speed. You can't teach that. My favorite parts of his highlights are his runs by far, and you're right he doesn't have a cannon for an arm. I'm sure Dobson's taking care of that as we speak.

I hope he gets the playbook down because he looks better than Green by a long shot. Of course the coaches see him on the practice field, so they usually know who will perform the best on the field.

I look at it like this: Colt McCoy was a 2 star recruit. Joe Ganz was a 2 star recruit. Both mobile, both intelligent, both had alot of heart. He appears to have mobility and intelligence, it's his heart that has yet to be tested. If he's winning state championships in Cali, I would venture to guess he's got moxy.

ive heard "tmart" likes to smoke weed more then he likes to work out

I have heard this as well. I have heard that the players and coaching staff have quite a problem with his arrogant personality and "me before the team" attitude.

If he's an attitude problem, then with Spano coming back I don't see him getting much attention (at least not the good kind). I would hope if this was true he wakes up and starts being a player.

He was a 3 star...#15 PRO STYLE QB...Colt and Martinez are totally different players. IMO, he is SIMILAR to Tate Forcier, only lightly faster, but Forcier looks to be a better passer.

The kid can play the game and when he cuts and goes I don't know if anyone can really run with the kid. His ability to run with the ball he looks a lot like Eric Crouch. If he figures out the passing game I don't know how you can keep him off the field. While at the spring game I have to say he makes Cody Green look slow and Cody can run with the football.

WTF? REALLY? Looks like Eric Crouch? Maybe you were at the spring game for his spectacular 60+ yard running performance, vs a VANILLA defense, but still, that is a CRAZY statement.

I love that people get excited and speculate in the off season, I really do, but tone it down a notch, that is just over the top. Kinda like everyone picking Cody Green to be a friggin juggernaut by seasons end last year, put a leash on your keyboards.

Also, no quarterback has even showed a little promise they can throw better than Lee. Blame receiver drops or anything else you want, Lee threw to the same receivers, and put up better numbers, with a bum arm, end of story.

Epic all I was trying to say is his home run threat to take it the distance He does have the same type of speed Eric Crouch did as a husker. We don't have anyone on offense that can do that besides Niles Paul. You wanna take my post out of context and make it sound like I think he is the second coming I never said that. I also stated he needs to grasp the passing game. He will be on the field this fall run the joker formations for Nebraska. Did I say he was gonna take Lee's job Fuck No! Some of you need to take a chill pill and relax.
