I would venture none of them have a QB as good as Mahomes. Unless we consider "not making it to the SB" a hangover. Then I guess Brady had a hangover I guess.

Mahomes could still have a losing season. We'll see. They looked defeated & gassed. Could this carry over? We'll see.

Yep, the last 2 seasons the Super Bowl hangover has been in effect - Eagles collapsed in the second half of 2023 and the Niners missed the playoffs this year.

This loss seemed different than the loss against the Bucs. After the Bucs loss, they bounced back and won the super bowl. We'll see.

Yeah I was impressed with how the Eagles kept their foot on the pedal even after being up 24-0 at half, they didn’t get complacent and let the Chiefs get back in it, and that deep pass TD from Hurts to Smith was the dagger. Very impressive performance from Philly all around.

100%. They came out of the half with purpose and determination and they followed through.

The Chiefs did take away Barkely and that was their game plan... They couldn't do anything else on either side of the ball

I'm not sure this makes the case he thinks it does. One might say the story is the first time the calls went against you, you lost...

Nothing touchy about what the Eagles front four did to that Chiefs offensive line. Maybe he should look at film before complaining about the refs.

it makes me wonder if Isaiah Pacheco had re-injured himself, or for whatever reason was nowhere near 100%. And where the hell was Kareem Hunt? Hell, Samaje Perrine could've at least had a FEW snaps, maybe some screen passes out of the backfield or something.
Im guessing when they took Joe Thuney out to play LT the plan was that it was safer to pass than run. KC was really only solid at 2 of the 5 OL spots when matched up with Philly.

I think this is the 3rd time that the Chiefs have gotten away with things against the Bills that the next team jumped all over. To me it seems like Mahomes and Josh Allen are taking teams further than they should be going.

I do think the Chiefs are facing some tougher questions this time around, and a bigger rebuild.

Is Kelce done? They need to retool on the offensive side of the ball, not just the line but at receiver and tight end. They are simply not very talented anymore outside of a few guys like Pacheco and Worthy.

Offense they have Mahomes, Humphrey at C, Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy at WR. Not a ton else give or take making moves. I dont fully agree that Pacheco is a talented piece. I think the Chiefs trade up in rd2 or rd3 this year to take an RB. RT is overpaid but they're stuck with him and he is serviceable.

They drafted Kingsley Suamataia as a project LT. Wait and see on that. Maybe a LG. I dont know if theyre finding anyone with his upside in the draft. Jared Wiley is almost certainly going to get looks as a TE next year. Draft a RG in rd1 if I had to guess. FA WR or TE.

Its not really a rock solid prognosis but the seeds are kinda already in place for most of the team. Its just that the Chiefs need to avoid the Marino Dolphins trap of 'good QB, win games, no depth'

Chiefs D held Saquon to under 100 yards as expected but they had no answer for Jalen running the ball. Hard to defend both. And he is better at throwing the ball than he was two years ago.
The Chiefs defense did their job for the most part. Their offense on the other hand, Mahones was seeing ghosts even when he had time
