This team is playing loose like they got nothing to lose. A dangerous team to play at the end of a season.

Texas 6-4 in their last 10 games and won 5 in a row what are they thinking, trying not to get a pick in the top 2. Kidding, I love beating the A's. Though the A's still very much in the WC picture

Don't COL and ARI play each other this weekend while we play the Angels? Should be fine.
Angels have now clinched, so they will be starting their bench and spot starters against us....we are in danger of sweeping the Angels!!! The #1 pick is starting to look dicey...

Now let's go sweep those bastard A's ....loving this!!!!

This from T.R. Sullivan.

"The Rangers have a $14 million option on Rios for 2015, but it appears increasingly likely they will not pick it up and instead pay the $1 million buyout."

"One reason is that Choo, after his injury-ravaged season, is expected to shift from left to right field next season under the theory that it is less taxing physically. It is also his most comfortable position. The Rangers would then either go with one of their internal options for left -- rookies Michael Choice, Ryan Rua, Jake Smolinski or Daniel Robertson -- or look for a cheaper alternative on the free-agent market."
I agree with this. Rios is not worth $14 million. Move Choo to right, and use the youngsters in left unless a better option comes up (Daniel Nava anybody?? He's out of favor in Boston, could be a cheap pick-up).

If using the youngsters, use the money saved on Rios to assist in investing in pitching or this Cuban kid, Tomas...

Bogar may be managing himself into a job for 2015. I like how this team is responding to him...I know, it could just be a phase, but we are beating playoff contenders, not cellar dwellers...

I say it all the time. It seems when a team leaves the bases loaded the other team feeds off of it and scores in the next half inning.

How about Roog? I don't know what we're going to do with Odor, Profar, and EA. I don't know how you send him back to the minors.

Seeing the faces of the A's fans was priceless. To bad the M's lost. We just helped the Angels clinch too, but that was inevitable.

Assuming neither of the 3 gets moved... I could honestly see Profar start out the season in AAA. (seeing as how he's missed a whole season and all).

I think it would be Odor starting out in AAA. They moved Kinsler to make room for Profar and I think they will stick with that plan. We shall see.

Think he will and should. Odor is simply ahead of Profar at this time.

Thad true, but only because Profar didn't play. I'm pretty sure Profar would be putting up numbers like Odor if he was playing. I love the way Odor plays the game though. I mean the kid has more RBIs than EA in a lot less ABs.

Im sure he will be vague if it's a legal issue, but it should get JD off the hook with the fans that believe he ran him out of town.

Those fans will just find some other JD related conspiracy theory to latch onto.

Odor has looked nice but there are certainly aspects of his game he needs to work on like plate discipline, someone like Martin, yeah he needs to play at the ML level against ML pitching, but Odor might make some pretty big strides yet at the AAA level,

Not for very long of course but I wouldn't be surprised if he did end up in AAA starting out

Really just depends on what Profar does form here on out, especially now that he's filled out some

I think this is presumptive. Plans are flexible. That's why they're called plans and not facts.

All of us are impressed with what we've seen out of Odor. But you're right in that, the Rangers going into this season, certainly held Profar in higher regard, and still may for all we know.

It could come down to who has the best showing in winter ball and ST between the two. They're both very young and this is great for all parties really. We do have options left with both of em.

And frankly, I suspect we've got to be married to EA, for the short term anyway, so moving Profar to SS isn't much of an option. His trade value is so low, and we've got so much invested in him, we may not much of a choice but to stick with him, at least going into the 2015 season.

Sure it is presumptive. Opinions usually are.

Yes, plans are flexible, but baseball teams usually stick to a plan until it is proven to be faulty. Nothing in the plan to make Profar the everyday second baseman has proven faulty yet. So, I am presuming that Profar will be starting at 2B next April for the Rangers.
