Samardzija has thrown 84 pitches through 5. So maybe we can get to their BP soon. May be our only hope b/c he's wearing us out.

Plate ump Kerwin Danley just took a foul ball of the mask. In 2009, he took a Hank Blalock broken bat to the head and left on a stretcher.

Miss a pitch in the middle of the plate and then strike out on that pitch

This from T.R. Sullivan.

"The Rangers have a $14 million option on Rios for 2015, but it appears increasingly likely they will not pick it up and instead pay the $1 million buyout."

"One reason is that Choo, after his injury-ravaged season, is expected to shift from left to right field next season under the theory that it is less taxing physically. It is also his most comfortable position. The Rangers would then either go with one of their internal options for left -- rookies Michael Choice, Ryan Rua, Jake Smolinski or Daniel Robertson -- or look for a cheaper alternative on the free-agent market."

I think it was TR that just posted yesterday that we were going to pick up his option. How would we get a cheaper alternative on the FA market than 1 of those 4?

I took that to mean one of the cheaper free agents and not one that was cheaper than the 4 youngsters.

At least two dozen teams will be on hand to see Yasmani Tomas‘ showcase in the Dominican Republic this weekend, and Gammons hears that the early front-runners to sign him are the Giants, Phillies, Padres, Rangers and Tigers. All of that, of course, could change quickly following his showcase.

This is what we need. A big, young, power bat.

I think the other article you are referring to is where TR said "Tis not the offseason to be casually tossing aside productive outfielders on a manageable one-year contract." I think this quote was TR's opinion and the quote I gave earlier tonight referred to what he thinks the Rangers will do. In other words he thinks they should do one thing, but thinks they will do another.

This was on MLB TR 2 days ago. I also just read the one you're referring to. Both are a little mis-leading.

The Rangers have used 27 different position players this season, and MLB.com’s T.R. Sullivan looks at how each of them could fit into the 2015 team as Texas looks to rebound from this injury-riddled campaign. Sullivan’s comments include his opinion that the Rangers will pick up Alex Rios‘ contract option for 2015 and that the catching situation “may be the most intriguing decision” of the offseason as the team will have to decide if Robinson Chirinos will be the regular catcher.

It is almost like an editor read his article and put his own two cents worth into that opening paragraph because later in the article TR doesn't sound as if he is telling us what he thinks the Rangers will do as much as what he thinks they ought to do. I would say that opening paragraph doesn't capture what TR said about the Rios situation at all.

I say it all the time. It seems when a team leaves the bases loaded the other team feeds off of it and scores in the next half inning.

How about Roog? I don't know what we're going to do with Odor, Profar, and EA. I don't know how you send him back to the minors.

Seeing the faces of the A's fans was priceless. To bad the M's lost. We just helped the Angels clinch too, but that was inevitable.

Seeing the A's choke like this is priceless. Small revenge for 2012.... I hope Colorado wins tomorrow and we sweep
