7m Rangers No. 2 man Thad Levine pulls his name out of the GM job in Arizona.
I'm assuming this means he's been given some assurances by our organization re: the GM position.
This what you think as well?
Rockies play the Dodgers for 3. I doubt they win any of those. The race is getting a little too close for comfort.
Honestly, I'd be ok losing the 1.1 pick - if it meant the Rangers play spoiler to the A's postseason dreams..
Especially since there isnt a "clear cut" 1.1 player for the 2015 draft yet.

That or he wants the job elsewhere.
I can't believe nobody responded to this picture. Look at Sardinas in the red hat on the top row, and Telis on the bottom, far right. I wonder whose idea this was?
Damn......
The Blue Jays are pleased with Melky Cabrera both on and off the field and will make him a qualifying offer following the season with the hope of retaining the switch-hitter on a multi-year deal, reports Jon Heyman of CBS Sports. A qualifying offer, expected to fall in the $15MM range this winter, will be worth nearly as much as the two-year, $16MM pact Cabrera inked with the Blue Jays prior to the 2013 season.
They do it every year. This year is different because they have 18 rookies.
Pass.
I guess that's why I don't remember a picture coming out.

Cabrera is really short on power. Rios has a better career slugging percentage than Cabrera. Rios has hit more HRs than Cabrera over the past 4 or 5 years. If everyone is disappointed with Rios I think they are going to be with Cabrera as well.
Not interested in injury prone players. We have enough of our own.Cabrera gets on base a lot more than Alex and he still hit 13 more HR's this year.
Anybody interested in CarGo still? He's under team control for 3 more years during his 29 30 and 31 age years. The injuries are a huge concern though, but while he's on the field he's MVP caliber. Maybe COL would take some of the remaining salary, but I'm still not sure. Just an idea.
