This dude is running out of options.

I said it from the beginning - he has ZERO legal options that will accomplish anything. All he's doing is wasting time and money.

Hey Donald, take the money and run, fool!

This whole thing just keeps getting weirder.

Here is the latest from this mornings paper.

Yesterday, Sterling's lawyers filed a petition for a writ, asking for a stay in the sale of the team. His lawyers had to take action because of a court error.

It seems that on Thursday, his lawyers asked for a written statement of decision from Judge Michael Levanas, asking for clarity on issues that were inadequately addressed in the version submitted by opposing counsel.

Levanas interpreted it as Sterling's objections to the ruling and issued a "final written decision". Then on Friday afternoon, Levanas withdrew his written decision. Sterling and his lawyers now have until Wednesday to file objections.

Because Levanas withdrew his decision and there was no final ruling to review, the petition for the writ was denied. It'll likely be re-filed sometime next week.

How long till Donny is sucking his eggs-n-bacon thru a straw...Good cash being tossed at bad cash here.

He's a crazy person with a lot of money. He'll likely be throwing his money at this problem even after he's sucking his eggs-n-bacon through a straw.

Heck, he's probably trying to figure out a way to continue the fight after he's dead.

From what I've read, many turned him down because A) They realized he had little to no shot and B) Would rather not look bad by representing him despite being paid VERY well. When you got big time lawyers turning down serious cash, you know something is off. That's why most everyone I've seen representing him look like they should be in the senior center. They have nothing to lose by representing him

In California, being a community property state, 50% of the revenues from the sale of the Los Angeles Clippers will be put into a trust for Donald Sterling and his heirs. She is not free to take the money and run. I sure wish someone would screw me to the sum of 2.1 billion dollars - AND HURRY

Sale has been approved and finalized.

It's over, and Sterling lost COMPLETELY on every issue outside of getting paid.

Ballmer has taken official control of the team.

Sale of the team is over.

I doubt he really, actually cared since he's getting 2 B.

That doesn't mean he still can't sue the league for other things.
We probably haven't heard the last of Mr. Sterling.

That will be another easy win for the NBA.

Wouldn't you want to know the supposed details of the possible case before making judgment?

Have you ever been involved in dealing with the legal system?

On what possible issue can he sue the league on?

The NBA never voted him out, they didn't force the sale, they didn't do anything outside of fine and suspend him, per their own rules that he was contractually obligated to.

Sterling has NOTHING. He never did.

Hopefully you are right.
I suppose his best hope is digging up dirt on other owners as he threatened to do.

Well we both know he'll TRY.......but so far he hasn't come CLOSE to winning a single case, he's just wasting time and money.......

Doesn't matter at this point. The sale is a done deal. Nothing Donald can do about anymore.

I agree with you and turnup. I think he's going to try to do something. He's a crazy old man with a ton of money. Only question is whether he runs out of money before he runs out of crazy.
