What team do you think is gonna put in a offer?

I hope the Bruins put a huge offer in. TB has some cap issues and would have to make some tough choices.

I would say us if not for f'ing Talbot.

If we get several guys off the books (Leighton, Lappy, walker, shelley), that frees up around $4 mil.

sadly I think this dream is over for us. My guess/wish is for Toronto to at least give an offer sheet to max out Tampa.

Rumour is the Flames put out a 9 year 64 million dollar offer...He won't come to Calgary, but hey no harm throwing your hat in the ring.

Agreed. That is kinda the same for me. TB will have trouble. I heard they actually lost a lot of money this year even though they made it to the ECF.

Thats funny you point that out. Its amazing how successful teams lose money even if they win.

I studied sport management in college and its crazy how finance in sports work. The Marlins "lost" close to $30 million by winning the world series.

The one thing I am curious about though is if Tampa is meeting with Richards, could be a sign the talks with Stamkos might not be going very well?

Idk, maybe just a case of another quick on the trigger billionaire owner firing his guns in the air.

That wont cut it. he is going to demand 9-10 mill a yr or more. Guy is 21 and a total stud player. I think TB also has a issue cause in Lecavalier's contract I think he has to be the highest paid player on the team. If I am not wrong he got like a 85 mill deal. Not sure on the years though.

I saw on some blog talks have broken down between TB and Stamkos. I dont see him in a Bolts jersey next year.

My bad...That was an offer the Flames put in for Brad Richards, not Stamkos.

/Reading comprehension problem (haha)

He doesn't want to play there imo. Ofc the last time I said that I got accused of being a non traditional market hater.

That is why I want the Bruins to make a run at him. Stamkos and Seguin on the PP for the next 8-9 years would be nice.

With your cap situation, no chance. You still need to sign Marchand and Seguin to long term deals.

I guess it comes down to where he wants to play or Money, Tampa was 1 game from the finals last year so not sure what his problem is there. Maybe heatley , 5 first round picks and an autographed Marleau jersey gets him to San Jose?
