You're absolutely correct, but a lot of the posters here read what they want to read and simply bend any comment anyone from the team makes to fit their hypothesis that the team sucks balls.
Then again you and are are just too optimistic. We seem to be forgetting already that we went 5-11 last year... oh wait, that's 11-5 (not that you'd know that from the estrogen-fueled rants in here lately...)
1-4 vs. playoff teams in 2015
11 wins vs the Bucs (1st pick in draft)
The Bears (in your own words a "dumpster fire")
The Vikes w a rookie QB
Giants (suck)
Falcons (fired HC)
Jets (fired HC)
Saints (fire sale)
Dolphins (only solid W outside of division all year)
Packers (thanks to Suh)
So, it's 11-5, but it's a posers 11-5.
Even 7-9 Carolina beat more playoff teams than the Lions last year, and they had 3 less overall wins.
Just curious who was the second playoff team they beat? Unless you are adding the playoff game with AZ as a second win. The 7-9 is throwing me off. I know they tied one game and why they had the advantage in the their division.
Not sure you are speaking the whole season or regular season?
Haha. At least your "other" team won't be included in playoff conversations either. You're just a regular season conversationalist it would seem.
Well obviously a better roster. You added Suh. Take an average roster add some Suh and presto! At least when you're watching the playoffs from your couch like your team will, the weather will still be fair.
Suh led the Lions to a #2 defense with virtually the same roster he was with the year prior. Can you acknowledge the reality that Suh thrived in Austins system? Gunther and friends were garbage.Suh carried the Lions for 5 years. If our GM can draft better than a ham sandwich, we should be ok.
The AFC is incredible stacked. A 10 or 11 win team could miss the playoffs. In Miami, we have an overall better roster than you guys in Detroit (better QB for example) and now we have Suh. So if the Lions can make the post-season with Suh, I like our chances. But I'm not guaranteeing anything. Pats still the team to beat, just like the Packers are the team to beat for you guys up North.
One of those 7 wins was an impressive steamrolling of a playoff team.Even 7-9 Carolina beat more playoff teams than the Lions last year, and they had 3 less overall wins.
Eghhhhh.....Yeah right, gtfoh. I like Tannihill but he ain't better than Staff.
Gunny hater.....Suh led the Lions to a #2 defense with virtually the same roster he was with the year prior. Can you acknowledge the reality that Suh thrived in Austins system? Gunther and friends were garbage.
Gunther fucking blew penis for money!
Apparently, Our offense was too conservative last year
