BTW, I will be in Scottsdale 3/13 -- 3/16. Seeing SF@TX 3/13, AZ@MIL 3/14, LAA@COL 3/15, and CLE@SF 3/16. If anyone is going to be there, would love to say hello.

No AnVill?? No D-Train?? Nothing exciting about this list, though. No open spots for any surprising.

And tz, good to see one of our top prospect, Minicozzi given the invite. Agree?

John Shea's post on San Francisco Giants | Latest updates on Sulia

Some familiar names on there: Chris Heston, Dan Runzler, Quiroz, Rosario. Some young pups out there: Panik, Williamson, Susac, Crick, Blackburn, Blach, Law. Some sleepers: Herrera, Minicozzi, Dominguez. Sabean specials too: Kameron Loe...

Decent list, and a credit to the young pitchers we have. 4/5 of last years San Jose starting rotation will be in Arizona this spring, Crick, Blach, Blackburn, Escobar. I'm really excited to see those guys and Derek Law.

42 pounds!! Yikes.

So that puts him at about 215? Sounds good for his frame and build. I hope he can keep it off, or at least not gain or lose more than 5 lbs. throughout the season.

About 230 per Krukow. He was a BIG boy last year.

This from Baggs in his chat today:

Andrew Baggarly: More likely Quiroz would make the club. Susac has a lot of work to do on his catching, especially game calling. He has focus issues behind the plate from time to time, which is not uncommon for an "offensive catcher." It'll do him a lot of good to catch more experienced pitchers at Triple-A.

Any chance Susac breaks camp with the big club? Would it take an injury to Hector?

If he can keep the weight off even if it's at this weight, his speed and quickness around the bag should help his defensive range. Ultimately if his weight ends up around 195 to 210 it will help his defense and may well improve his chances to stay more healthy.... I think if he doesn't get all the way there this off season it would be great if he can keep his present weight around where it's at now and keep on top of the problem then during the next 2 seasons get to his target then it should help his career and health.

flying. No time to drive there, although a road trip does sound enticing.

I just drive from Modesto to Pasadena and back for a meeting. Spent the night in Pasadena. It was 86 there yesterday. I stopped at Gorman (top of the Grapevine), and from there to Magic Mountain, my car computer said I got 55.6 mpg. (All downhill). The 210 was a parking lot this morning. Ugh.

Never thought I'd say this after you guys won 2 WS in 3 years... but this year as long as anyone but the Doyers win the NL West then I'll be happy. Dbacks, Giants and the Padres against the Doyers. (left the Rockies out on purpose)
