True and you're right the more I think about it, fans probably are there for Spike

I'm not sure they are there for Spike necessarily, but he is the most visible, most famous Knicks fan.

They may figure that if the Knicks are willing to treat him that way, how are they going to treat their fans who aren't famous.

. Garden is basically always a sellout no matter how bad the team is
That is probably the reason the Knicks are how they are. Consistently putting bad team out and selling out the games. They figure bad teams is what the fans want. Give the fans what they want.

The knicks don’t have fans, they are out for the evening, on the town, free of charge , at the expense of corporations.

They have no clue what goes on during game. They sit in seats with phones on trying to capture some celebrity picking its nose.

It's how business works though. NBA players, for example, don't just get free basketball shoes, they get paid to wear them.

The more famous people a company can have wearing/using their products or eating in their restaurants, etc. The more regular folks are likely to pay to wear/use their products or eat in their restaurant.

In this case, at least Spike has paid for his season seats.

Yep...for the most part this is how it is.

From what little I know about restaurant biz (one of our golf buddies is an executive chef/owner of a restaurant in Alpharetta)...according to him most athletes/celebrities that he's served actually pay their tabs. It does help to have pics posted of famous people eating there or the reputation, but the main thing is food consistency and service to keep people coming back.

To put a cap on the Knicks situation...by asking him to go back outside and enter via the designated access...they made this a public event and it didn't have to be one...plain and simple.

Maybe but they know that they don't have a VIP entrance to walk through and they've known that since day 1

Spike Lee vs anyone and anything that isn't Spike Lee. He made a good movie like 25 years ago I guess.

Why would anyone go see a Knicks game anyways? They haven't been good since the 90s. They should be happy they still have fans. They have been a JOKe for 25 years plus
