Through Week 6...

Fields
106/160 66.3%, 1106 yards, 5 TD, 1 INTs
16 sacks for 124 yards
55 carries for 231 yards, 5 TDs
5 fumbles
Record: 4-2

Williams
130/199 65.3%, 1317 yds, 9 TDs, 5 INTs
20 sacks for 137 yards
25 carries for 169 yards, 0 TDs
3 fumbles
Record: 4-2

But if you just look at the last four weeks:

Fields
76/117 65.0%, 833 yards, 4 TD, 1 INTs
12 sacks for 94 yards
33 carries for 147 yards, 5 TDs
3 fumbles
Record: 2-2
Williams
93/133 69.9%, 1050 yds, 9 TDs, 3 INTs
11 sacks for 68 yards
15 carries for 110 yards, 0 TDs
2 fumbles
Record: 3-1

Caleb is turning into an elite QB, so the fun here is kinda played out.

Fields is turning into a game manager with wheels, which is a pretty good place for him.

I will state that Williams looks more like an NFL QB than Fields. I won't argue that, he looks at the entire field and doesn't appear to lock onto 1 target and take off if it's not there, as opposed to Fields who might check his 2nd look, but tends to run after not seeing what he expects. Looking at the opponents tells a lot different story as Fields has faced a more difficult set of opponents.

Pitt opponents are 18-17 over all, 12-11 in the wins and 6-6 in the losses
Chicago opponents are 12-22 overall, 4-18 in the wins and 8-4 in the losses.

Not all wins and losses are created equal and the contributions by each QB probably have different expectations. They're also very different players and I'm not apologizing for either, but not all things are as equal as the stats. As a bonus, all of the Bears' wins have come against teams with 1 win each.

I like Williams way more in upside but he has certainly rolled over 2 bad teams the past 2 weeks.

But Caleb Williams is also playing extremely well for a rookie

He did, that's for sure. I watched the 1st half of the Bears game yesterday and saw some things from him I wasn't actually expecting. He was able to make his reads pretty fast and go to the expected target quickly. If that first target wasn't open or what he expected he quickly went to the 2nd and 3rd and didn't lock onto the 1st that I noticed. That is the one thing that rookie QBs tend to not understand, if it's not there move on, don't stare that guy down hoping something happens. He did also move the safety at least twice with his head or eyes opening up the WR he wanted to go to based on the early D look. Those things are not usual from guys making their 6th start, so there's lots to like, so far.

yep...this last draft got it right as far as 1 & 2 selections.
Chicago & Washington now have THE guy to build a champion through.
Like many Bears fans who have suffered thru decades of QB mediocrity, we're all hoping Williams is the real McCoy. So far, he's certainly looking the part.

The funny thing is back in the predraft when the rumors were circulating that the Commanders wanted to swap picks, giving up draft capital in exchange, it was obviously for the rights to take Williams. I was openly hoping if this came true that we'd use the 2nd pick on Daniels. I loved his game film and thought he had all the makings of a star in the NFL.

They face each other in two weeks. Should be a good one.

I hadn’t heard that. Then again I wasn’t following closely off season and draft either. All I’ve seen is Daniels was always the pick for the Skins even pre draft. Course that could be spin too.

I’m just happy both fan bases seem to have found their guy. It’s better for football to have competitive QB play.

I agree. You cannot compare Fields to Williams even at this early stage.

I'm surprised at how comfortable Daniels looks already in NFL games. He plays like a veteran.

i had one issue, injury concerns at this level. That's it. This guy is so ready.

I'm not any QB whisper but Williams IMO has all the tools. Lights out from the start at OU. His ego may need checking should he QB a SB Champion.

I was ready to hate on Williams for being an overhyped mentally fragile Gen Z diva. He might still be a Gen Z diva but he looks like a solid QB.

Fields being compared to any competent NFL QB is a win for the Steelers. He can do things with his legs but if you need to pass to win good luck.

I knew Williams was a generational talent when he got to SC. He was the clear choice at #1 but it looks like Daniels is more than ready as well. Both guys came into unusually good situations for such high draft choices. Just look at what happened to Bryce Young going to a disastrous organization like Carolina. Chicago and Washington were already decent teams. And it is because Carolina is so awful that the Bears were able to get Williams.

And we still get one more gift from the Panthers. Their 2025 2nd round pick is the final part of that trade as well.

I will tune into the fan, that's Chicago sports radio and it's going to be awesome. The call in portion is going to be great. They won't say a word about the all the Bears wins being against 1 win teams, it will be unicorns and cotton candy all around. Hell, I expect Caleb Williams to have a raw Johnson after all the fans calling in to blow him, and not one set of their lips will touch it. Going to be unintentional comedy all around

Wrong, Moab. Plenty of Bears rags and commentators have made it clear that they have been beating bad teams. So what. That's what you're supposed to do. It's not like the Bears get to choose their opponents. They play who they're scheduled to play and try to take care of business.

The Packers have yet to beat a team with a winning record. Should we get on their case for that? Dumb argument buddy.

Probably one of the most lopsided trades in history. They also got that good receiver from Carolina in that deal, didn't they?

If you can listen to that for an hour and tell me that over 1/2 of the callers aren't mouth breathers, then I can't help you. The unintentional comedy is off the charts gold.
