Many assured me that the Bears line issues were Justin's fault

Caleb is on track for the 2nd most sacks in NFL history. David Carr never really recovered from year 1

This started as a satirical schadenfreude thread, thinking Williams would have an epic rookie meltdown. But he's kept it together even through some rough spots, and looks legit.

Sadly, that means this thread isn't funny any more.

It's getting a revival

It'll be especially funny when the Steelers trade Fields back to Chicago for a 2nd.

They might need to sit Caleb just to protect him.

All jokes aside, this is dead on.

But for future note you all may recall it was pointed out that Caleb held the ball longer in college than Fields did. Hope the kid can work that out he's had a couple of nice games that showed promise.

Thats tough because every college QB has things you can pick apart. In college, Jayden Daniels had issues getting the ball out until he didn't.

The big red flag I had with Mahomes coming out is that because he was so talented his mechanics were sloppy and sloppy mechanics generally leads to poor accuracy. He also liked holding on to the ball and playing hero outside of the pocket. The Chiefs sat him a year.

Ball placement is everything. If he can't throw accurately then nothing else matters. Accuracy is 100% deal breaker at the NFL level.

They have 3 picks in the first 2 rounds next year. If they don’t have a completely revamped oline next year, them at GM should be fired before the season starts. If they fix the OLine and get some average coaching, they are easily a playoff team next year.

i've seen one Bears game this year (Washington) The line play/coaching scheme that game made washington look like the 85 Bears 46 defense. I kept thinking Williams will be lucky if he's not broke by December.

this might be more your thing than mine. There have been many great QB's.
Of course there have. There have been great players in all sports. Doesn’t stop fans from arguing over who was GOAT because that’s fun.
