I haven't been able to watch a complete Bears game, just what they show on Red Zone. But Williams had good numbers yesterday and I'm going to assume under heavy pressure. Am I wrong here that he had a very good game?

The ridiculous fumble and the botched snap by Fields yesterday gave me PTSD.

Keep playing good kid because daddy wants his higher draft pick...but good lord do I not miss that sh*t.

Not really, he went against one of the worst defenses in the NFL.

He did everything he needed to do to win and didn’t turn it over. Checked down when he needed to and made some plays.

For a rookie playing his fourth game with an offensive line that has been pretty bad so far this season and, until Sunday, a non existent run game I think his performance was quite good.

He’s only gonna get better. All the tools are there. Gotta clean up some communication errors and presnap issues but you can clearly tell the effort is there.

I agree.
If he doesn't get the crap beat out of him this year, he'll get better and stronger from the experience.

And the talent is there as well. I still liked Daniels coming into the draft because I felt there were fewer question marks. But I too believe they will both work out.

Caleb now has two 300 yard games in his first five games.

Justin did it once in 38 starts for us.

Whatever Justin does in Pittsburgh is just fine by me. I wish him all the best. The dude was a consummate professional. His teammates and Bears fans loved him...

...but it wasn't happening for us with him under center. We had a rare top draft pick opportunity to pick #1 that only comes by once in a long while. The Bears made the right choice given the circumstances.

My gut: Had we not had the #1 pick from the Panthers and only our 9 pick, I am pretty certain Justin would still be under center for us this season.

Also...He needs to keep playing so we get that better draft pick. :)

We're comparing Williams to Fields while Wash. DC is comparing Daniels to Bobby Douglas & Steve Young.
Nobody is comparing Daniels to Bobby Douglas. Now Steve Young, can you imagine him playing in this era?

I'm happy for Bears fans. Like Washington fans they deserve this. I thought it was the right move to move on from Jusin Fields and the guy they have now will be a difference maker.

As a major Bears fan's child, I can tell you my old man f*cking HATED Bobby Douglass and would remind me of it constantly over the years. All the Bears did was lose their asses off under that guy. Stick to Steve Young.

In DGFs defense, that’s the national media posting these statistics, lol

Historical stats always make good click bait material.

Regardless, as a Skins fan, I‘ve been astounded at what Jayden has looked like 5 games into his rookie year.

Still haven’t played a lot of tough defenses yet but I’ll take what we are seeing any day

for what it’s worth, i think Chi-town got themselves a good one too. And have held that position since the beginning.

A better comp is Caleb vs Justin at the same point in their careers

Comparing a rookie QB to a guy who has started for 4 years is fine but not really apples to apples

Bobby Douglas was a lesser Joe Kapp

That Cleveland defense was very tough. Jayden struggled early as they took away many of the plays their ran with success in the previous games. He responded by hanging 34 on them before sitting out the 4th quarter which was a huge test that he passed.
