Some sad news to pass on - RIP Bossman

Holy shit.

Steve was a very sincere person and a stand up guy. I know he had some health issues but I had hoped (and it seemed from some of his posts) that he was doing well. The board, hell, the world won't be the same without him. It's too bad there aren't more like him.

I'm in shock.



In memory of Boss, I'll jump on the Sabres as a second team bandwagon. Oh, and:

I think we will all miss Bossman a whole lot. Olympics are just around the corner and I remember how into it Steve got with team USA in 2010 on here. Just won't be the same.

That was one of my thoughts as well about the Olympics. I wasn't here in 2010 but knowing his thoughts on this years team it would be awesome for the red white and saber blue to get gold.

When I think of this board there are a few posters who immediately jump to mind and Boss was tops on the list. He was an incredible member of this community and it's hard to imagine it without him. Irreplaceable.

Sad day for sportshoopla, but I'm glad we all got to know him, even if, for most of us, it was just on a message board.

Many of us have known him for a long time. I was a lurker at ESPN since about 2007 so I've seen BOSS post for at least 7 years.
