Some NFL executives reportedly believe the Patriots will get a 'blockbuster' offer for Jimmy Garoppolo

It surprises me that it's not a no brainer to trade a top 1,2 or 3 pick when JG is the closest thing to a sure thing out there... He's accurate, athletic and has studied under the GOAT.

How do you not? The cost to sign him is the issue. $20+ million per season and the guaranteed money.

Not true. If he sucks the first year you only loose the pick. If unsure after 1 year he can be franchised for a second year. If sure after 1 year, the franchise tag help ensure they get him signed, if not they get two firsts back.
