Yep, if they sign a vet and he plays week one, his season salary us guaranteed. Sign him week 2, you can release him and not pay him. Hope it doesn't cost us a win

Exactly. If this is the plan for how/when we sign a starting OL we deserve to lose. Now I’m not saying the idea is even to sign a starter, but if that is indeed the plan and we wait a week because we are worried about a one year cheapish type contract guaranteeing then it’s mind boggling.

Yep and this thinking is from the same guy Jerry that paid Bernie Kosar 1 million to be a v
backup and play in 4 games. Times were different then but the thinking in the cowboys front office has changed. That guaranteed salary would look cheap if Dak get hurt because they went cheap on OT for a vet.
