Sad thing is if the D played like this the first 8 weeks Dallas would have a winning record.

This defense is the same 4th qtr defense I have always seen.
Dont give a shit about feeling good about the 1st three qtrs. (since we are normally being blown out at that point.
We look at our defense like grading on a curve because we know they suck. Yes they played better in a whole game than in recent memory, but they have the same predictable results in the 4th Qtr.

Jaylon Smith should be benched. But we know that wont happen cause of that contract. I want to see francis bernard get playing time. Hell just play denucci so we are guaranteed a top 2 pick. Justin Fields would be tempting, not going to lie. Fields is a tremendous athlete. We would have a cheap qb on a 5 year deal if we went that route. I like Fields better than Lawrence

Bounty Gate - you could argue that Bounty Gate was a big reason New Orleans got to and won the Super Bowl that year. Favre and the Vikings went in there and kicked NO ass all over that field that day. They pounded Favre though and ended up forcing him into a terrible INT at the end. I remember Favre could barely walk at the end of the game. Honestly surprised there hasn’t been more bounty gates.

They have improved, but you are right about that same 4th quarter defense. Can't stop a team from scoring to win the game like Pitt defense did.

I don't complain about refs because in the long run and even throughout the game the calls usually even out and I never state that they are "out to get us" or bias, but this was a tough one to watch. There was also a play near the end when our DL was literally tackled and not in the middle of the muck, it was kind of where it was wide open near Ben's feet. It just seemed so many of the calls were in such huge spots and every single one seemed to go against us and honestly if just one didn't or went the other way we probably win. Feeling a lot better about this team than before the loss. On to the bye week...

JFC...seriously? I didn't know he was even hurt badly. It's amazing how the injuries have hit our best players this year. All this kid needs is more PT to keep getting better and more consistent and clean up some of his mistakes and he is going to be really good. Now he won't get that chance. Hopefully he can get a few more games in by the end of the year and some more time with the coaches at least this season and be 100% for next year.

Diggs gets burned a lot (which is why they try & pick on him) but all the DBs are getting burned (cant wait to do wholesale changes on defensive coaches) but also he is a rookie, so I am still excited what he can bring to the team in the future.
one of the other things about Diggs some may not realize.
He is 2nd in tackles.
On a defense that doesnt seem to use the fundamentals. They will miss a player that actually tackles.
