I don't complain about refs because in the long run and even throughout the game the calls usually even out and I never state that they are "out to get us" or bias, but this was a tough one to watch. There was also a play near the end when our DL was literally tackled and not in the middle of the muck, it was kind of where it was wide open near Ben's feet. It just seemed so many of the calls were in such huge spots and every single one seemed to go against us and honestly if just one didn't or went the other way we probably win. Feeling a lot better about this team than before the loss. On to the bye week...
This team stresses me out on Sundays. I needed a bye week.

Diggs gets burned a lot (which is why they try & pick on him) but all the DBs are getting burned (cant wait to do wholesale changes on defensive coaches) but also he is a rookie, so I am still excited what he can bring to the team in the future.
one of the other things about Diggs some may not realize.
He is 2nd in tackles.
On a defense that doesnt seem to use the fundamentals. They will miss a player that actually tackles.
I’ve seen enough of Diggs that if he missed the remainder of the season I’d be OK with it. Time to see who else belongs on this roster next season.

Broke. Foot is what was on the news earlier

Time to see if Robinson can do anything. I got a feeling Chido and Lewis are gone. Neither has done much and Lewis has been terrible. Savion Smith was terrible. After Diggs went down..it dont matter how good the pass rush is if the corners play like Savion did.

Damn , he really must be bad. Every week on Twitter , this board , fans kill him.
for being such a smart guy, he sure say's dumb shit.

I'm done with this guy making a PLAY AND DANCING AROUND WHEN THE TEAM IS DOWN 17.

I never recall any past Dallas defensive leader feeling the need to tell the media he's the leader. Call me old school, but leaders lead by example through their play. Woodson, D Ware nor Sean Lee ever had to tell the media they were leaders like this guys continues to do.

That damn Big Ben. He is still a damn good player. He missed a couple of throws yesterday , but he made some damn good ones too.
Ben is tough as hell. That was a major shot he took when he was sandwiched by Gallimore and DLaw. Tom Brady probably would have been carted off if he took a shot like that.

I guess my question for everyone is which team can this team beat with Dalton as QB? Some of Gilbert's better plays came when he had to leave the pocket. Gilbert also did not care if he had to throw when he had defenders all over him. Dalton cant handle the pressure.

The OL also prove they would rather block for Gilbert, even though they were overmatched. If we keep denucci over Gilbert I really question how smart this front office is. Denucci does not have it.

NYG, Wash, Philly and Cincy

I'd hate to see this happen but all 4 of those are winnable
These are possible wins, but it not likely the team stays healthy. Dalton did not do well against that skins Pass rush. He probably wont do well against the Eagles pass rush either. The Giants and Bengals yeah I could see it,but dont want it. I want that top 5 pick... or even top 2 or 3.

A lot could be done with the #2 pick. That pick could be flipped for serious draft capital...we could get 3 1st rounders for that pick if we plan on bringing Dak back...

I just hope by draft time there will be some can't miss studs on defense in the top 5 of the draft. Would love a Chase Young, JJ Watt, Arron Donald type of player. We need a game changer on defense.

I like Surtain or Farley. I like Parsons, but do wonder if he ends up like jaylon once in the league. Like it or not Jaylon never totally regained the speed he showed in college. Parsons is very fast but I dont know if he can cover.

Would of course like to see either Surtain or Farley on the other side of Diggs. And then draft the best safety available in either the 2nd or 3rd round.. this would give the Cowboys a nice secondary...maybe some turnovers?

When they show the lineups on television , they are showing their PFF grade. What is Jaylons grade?

DALLAS COWBOYS: DECLINE FROM YOUNG LINEBACKER DUO

Jaylon Smith and Leighton Vander Esch looked like a pair of future stars at linebacker for Dallas back in 2018. They ranked fifth and sixth, respectively, in PFF grade at the position that season. Vander Esch's injury and a dip in play from Smith in 2019 dampened some of that optimism, but there was still reason to be excited about the duo, with Vander Esch returning healthy in 2020. Neither has looked all that reminiscent of the players we saw two years ago, though. Smith has earned a 53.4 PFF grade, and Vander Esch comes in a tad higher at 55.3 in another injury-shortened season thus far. Their disappointing play is part of the reason that the Cowboys' defense has underperformed this year.

So if Zeke sits & Pollard goes off against the Steelers, do we have a RB controversy?

While as stupid as that sounds. I guarantee we will start hearing a lot of people saying we need to dump Zeke & his Contract from the Johnny come lately's
I have one foot already off the elliot train.

The contract negotiation put a bad taste and he hasn't done much to make that go away.

I love Pollard but he still is no zeke.

I wish Jones would sell the team to an owner that hires football people to make personnel decisions.

I could be wrong, but watch the LVE personal foul again. I honestly thought he was more trying to knock the guys arm away than throwing a punch. I'm not making an excuse but the guy was pushing on his helmet and it twisted and he seemed to more be countering that than throwing a punch. Again I may be wrong but that is what I thought
My dad and I disagreed on that one too. Dad had a good come back with "the penalty really showed em didn't it" but I am going to do what I can to keep a guy from twisting my head off especially with the neck injury rep.

That’s great. Totally an old school Dad comment :thumb:
