but you yourself said u saw no worries in winning yesterday. Yet it took two major blunders, and 20 starters sitting for an ot victory
No I didn't........I said "under the circumstances, I like their chances."

Oh I agree. That's why I wasn't mad at KC for resting their players. KC has to do what was best for them, and that means resting their starters since they wont get a bye week.

We had our fate in our hands even later in the year but lost to Miami. :wtf2:

That being said there are a whole LOT of people in Cincy hapy that they wont be seeing us this coming Sat. and SD stunk up their own house getting a must have game against scrubs.

I'm telling you...that Cincy-SD game is going to be ugly.

Yeah.....they're really happy they're not facing Pittsburgh's 20th ranked offense instead the Chargers 5th ranked...:rolleyes2:

I mean how could A.J Green dream about getting open with Ike "senior citizen" Taylor covering him??

At the risk of starting a war I must say that, as a Hawks fan, there is something pleasantly ironic about the Steeler's season being officially ended by Bill Leavy and his crew of officials.

Didn't we own the Bengals just a few weeks ago?

And I do mean *own*.

Right now the Steelers are better than the Bengals....but hey, have fun being their first playoff win in 23 years.

You lost. You didn't make the big plays - get over it.

Maybe if you learned how to tackle Willie Parker instead of letting him set a SB record for 75 yards you might have won the game. Or didn't fall for the gadget in the 4th. Or managed the clock correctly at the end of the 2nd and 4th quarters. Or gotten Shaun Alexander involved earlier.

Face it...your boy pushed off in the endzone, Big Ben was in on the TD dive, Willie tore your ass up on the 75 yard blast, your boy held our LB and your QB threw in INT.

You were so used to getting calls in your favor that post season at home - or don't you remember that? Do you remember hosting the Redskins and having one of them called for holding while the man in question was on the bench? Don't see to recall Mike Holmgren getting upset about the reffing that day. I wonder why. Oh yeah, when calls go in his favor, he's all for it. '

The refs were calling it tightly both ways and you didn't adjust - we did. We made the plays and you didn't.

21-10 and it wasn't even THAT close.

You lost.

Whiney little bitches.

Dude, you need to relax. I was kidding and thought it was ironic that the SB ref (who later admitted to fucking up the SB) was the same guy that blew that call yesterday and effectively eliminated the Steelers from the post season.

A 10 point win at home is "owning" a team? More like you almost choked away a 24pt lead.

Better than Bengals right now? At what, cleaning out their lockers?

I'll definitely have fun watching the game.....while you'll still be crying "the refs...the refs"

As you can see, someone is still clearly upset that their team will miss the playoffs again after going 16-16 the last 2 seasons.

There's no guarantee that another FG attempt would have been good.

Uh no. I'm happy the Steelers missed the playoffs. I hate that team. I was responding to the Steeler fan.

Stealer fans are always going to be sensitive about that SB. There was a term after that game for any team that felt they got screwed by officiating. It was called getting seahawked! It was an embarrassment and that trophy will always be tainted because the ref apologized for blowing the game.
So the result is the stealers will never be taken seriously when they complain about officiating. Sort of like Seattle and the fail-mary. Only it didn't have any affect on either teams season.

I have some poetic justice for you!!!!

I had a good friend that died way before his time... he was a Hawks fan!!! He jumped in my shit all the time because he said the one time in his lifetime I get to see the Seahawks in the Big Dance and they loose to the Steelers!!!!

Well no one knew he would pass away 2 years later.... sucks

So every year when the Steelers are out of it, I have a Seahawks hat with his initials on it that I wear to pull for the Hawks!!!! He didn't get to see them win one in his lifetime, but I will pull for them for him so I may see a Superbowl win for him!!!!

"Replay did not stop the game because the ruling of forward progress is not reviewable. Should have been a strip and TD in my opinion" @MikePereira)

REALLY !!!!!........You can't be serious, with all the missed calls that have given the Steelers a win..
You have the Seahawks Lombardi and the ref even come out and told that he missed the call.....Refs miss calls all the time, it's the way it is....But if you play good enough, you don't have to depend on the refs, bottom line....As someone else said in this thread, the Steelers didn't belong in the playoffs this year and I will add neither did my Ravens....They weren't good enough or they'd be there....
I'm rooting for the underdog Bolts, our boy JJ is out there and Rivers deserves another shot....Go Bolts !!:yahoo:

someone has rehearsed this hissy fit before. you're obviously more sensitive about this than any hawk fan around here. it's ok to admit that the hawks got jobbed on key calls but you dont care because your team won. thats how i would approach it if i were you. or just keep flipping out on people that are making an obvious joke.

That's awesome dude. Too bad about your buddy, he'd have loved this season so far.

Anyway's I was just bustin' Steeler's balls a little because it ended up being a blown call by Bill Leavy. Hawks fans will always have a spot in their hearts for that guy, and now Steeler's fans can join us. :suds:

Hey look everybody!!! It's a Ravens fan!!!

Wow...you guys took over 24 hours to show up!!

Where you been?

Oh yeah...hiding after that pathetic performace yesterday.

As for SB XL....Locklear held, simple as that. Locklears arm was across Haggins' body as Haggins was trying to run past him. THAT'S holding.

Show me a pic that shows otherwise.

PS...I seem to remember YOU guys getting a nice non call in the SB. Two of them. Explain to me how Ed Reed wasn't off sides, please. And then explain how you guy didn't hold in the endzone. Thank you.

Its all good Dude!!!!

Most Steelers fans need to think if had happened the other way around, we would be telling the jokes about it!!!! Hell it was a win, why fight about it!!!

I wore that hat proudly last year and will again this year!!!! Just hope for a much better outcome!!!!

Speaking on behalf of myself as an individual Steelers fan... Yeah, the refs blew a few and it did potentially cost the Steelers a berth but it was a freakin miracle to even be that close. Aside from the opening kickoff of the season, that Succop kick was the only time all year that the Steelers even had a sniff of making the playoffs.

A day later, after the shock and disappointment has worn off, I find myself happy and relieved that there won't be any more letdowns this year. The Steelers were full of them this season.

I've been patient with you guys but you just can't help yourselves. You have to keep whining about how SB XL was stolen from you.

I got news for you....you lost. I'll give you the blocking below the waist on your QB after the INT. That was a bad call.

Locklear held - get over it.

You didn't get jobbed, you got your asses kicked. You couldn't run for most of the game. You couldn't get in the endzone. You didn't manage the ball well - in fact you mismanged the ball at the end of the 2nd quarter and 4th quarter.

Truth?

Big Ben had NO business completing a 3rd and 27 to get down on the 3 yard line to even set up the TD dive.

More truth?

Your walrus of a HC had no business taking out his starting safety on the 2nd play of the 2nd half. His back up was out of position and Willie Parker broke one.

Locklear held - and admitted it. He said he was just trying to make up for Haggins being offsides. Thing is, Haggins wasn't offsides. But even if he was, it was offsetting penalties and was NEVER going to be a completion.

You lost because your HC never adjusted to how the game was being called - it's that simple.

PS...let me ask you...how did you feel about that call vs. the Packers last year?

You know....THIS one?

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uiWwENDAybw]HORRIBLE MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL CALL!! Packers vs. Seahawks! - YouTube[/ame]

Now explain to all of us how the Packers got jobbed, please. And do so with equal enthusiam with which you whine when calls go against you.
