Yep there is absolutely no reason to trade Zion unless you get another star to pair with AD and be an immediate championship contender minus some good role players/supporting case type of guys

Agreed.

What some here don't get is how the contracts of the 2 players impact their trade value.

If Zion and AD had identical contracts, the packages that people like @shopson suggested would make sense.

But they aren't.

AD is going to be a free agent and he will make about 8 times more money than Zion over the next 4 years. People who think that doesn't matter don't get the economics of the NBA.
