I couldn't actually believe the Sixers finished 24-58...

To this day and after all these years I still find it sickening that so many basketball enthusiasts think this shameless tanking is the "proper" way to run a basketball program.

The tanking wasn’t the problem

It was when the league stepped in and forced their guy into the GM role when the problems started for the 6ers.

I was on the leagues side until presti openly admitted to tanking the league did nothing

I mean, they were pretty shitty before the tanking so :noidea:

Everyone was hurt anyway, might as well tank a few games late to go for a player like Flagg

Speaking of draft odds, I knew Houston had Phoenix's pick but I didn't realize just how good it was. They have the 9th best odds, 3.8% at #1 and 17.3% for Top 4. With the change in odds a few years ago, its not unheard of for teams in that 6 to 10 range to jump up. Massive deal for a team on cusp of contention like Houston. Even if they stay in the 9 spot, you're still looking at a player like Kon Knueppel or Derik Queen

The whole team was hurt.

Now that you have a single fact to work with try thinking about it again. Good luck!

It would look way different if Embiid could ever have stayed healthy.
The tanking wasn't the problem.
It was Embiid's physical health and Simmons mental health.
