What pains me is the 1st edition Charizard (Pokemon). I saw kids literally slamming that down on the lunch table with greasy fingers and damaging the edges of the card routinely when I was in Jr. High School... I wasn't any wiser, I thought it was 'whatever' and a fad.

Perfect 10 Charizard is worth about $50K these days....

Shit flipping baseball cards as a kid was something we did all day

my dad had a heart attack when I wallpapered my bedroom with cards on the wall, thought it looked so cool

Holy shit! I’ve seen that with First Edition Garbage Pail Kids cards. Remember those? People used to throw ‘em around and bind them with rubber bands. Some are worth a ton now.

I just found these in a drawer a few weeks ago. I didn’t even really recall that I had them. I couldn’t have spent more than $50-60 total for the pair. Here’s what they are going for now:

DAMN!

I think the card trading world has shrunk dramatically right? Is it still popular or all old dudes now?

I can't believe you morons actually collect little picture cards of people and think it's valuable. If they are actually buying those on ebay you should sell that shit and get some beaine babies.

That's where the money is

Yes. They are both PSA 9. I posted links to PSA 9 versions selling on eBay, as well.
So you just happened to find these in a drawer a few weeks ago and you have already been able to have them graded? During covid lock down? And they just happen to be the cards of the qb who just won the superbowl? I dont even need a nose to smell the bullshit here.

I was never into collecting cards, but I ain't gonna knock it. I play video games and have other habits (like typing on message boards) that others might consider square.

So you sold them yesterday but you posted this thread today talking about how much you can probably sell them for?
When did I say I sold them? I was just marveling at their value. You aren’t very bright and you appear to be getting dumber by the post.
