I'm sure this has been mentioned in the series thread, but I didn't watch the game and just got home from a weekend away and saw this article.

It is so nice to read of a base running blunder in a Mariners' game and it wasn't by the Mariners.

Might be a first. Funny I was watching highlites on ESPN and they were blasting the Tigers last night because they made 3 boneheaded plays on the bases and in the field. I thought it was funny because we experience that on an almost nightly basis and no attention is brought to it.

The triple-play was nice. The other part of it that I enjoyed is that you can see their 3rd base coach actually grab the runner and try and hold him on the base but I think that actually got him off balanced and he fell. I would have loved to see if the ump would have called him out anyways for grabbing the baserunner which I always thought was illegal?
