I don't know if 4 years will do it but at age 31 I would be reluctant to give more than 3. It's not the money for me but the years.

Here is Evan's latest podcast where he suggests the Rangers need to raise payroll to $200 million. He thinks they need to hang onto their prospects and spend heavily on free agent pitching while waiting 2 to 3 years for Leiter and Rocker to develop.

Maybe Perez could do a 3/$45 with incentives
4th year option at $15 mil or a $5 mil buyout.
$3 mil per year incentive if he finishes in top 10 for WAR in the AL
He should finish at #6 this year.

Counting on pitching to develop has hurt abs so has defense. We can’t have Lowe at 1B. He needs to DH

Pitching defense is bad too. OF defense looking up alot

This is why we need to sign Teen and another starter and get a closer in place

several had complained about Lowe at 1st and some called him an error machine, so i looked a our team's errors. we have committed 96 so far which is horrible but i noted that 4 players who have played less than 70 games each have committed 27 of those 96. Duran only played in 60 games and committed 10 errors (he had another 15+ at AA &AAA). Culberson has played in 67 games and has 7. Ibanez played in 40 with 5 and Viloria played in 26 and had 5. those numbers hurt the team a whole more than a player playing 149 games and having 9 or even another having 18 or another playing in 153 and having 9.

no errors are good but take away those 27 committed and it's only 65 for the rest of the team
