TCU is the #2 pick in the Big 12. That isn't a sleeper.
I don't see why a lot of folks are putting them there. Patterson may be the best coach in the league, but they lost too much in the O-line IMO. While they will be much better defensively, Cumbie/Meachem will have to work wonders for them to be in the hunt. JMO.

Maybe they same reason you picked them?

I think teams in other P5 conferences have more of a chance in the Pac 12 than Colorado lol

Big 12 Boone St- Mason Rudolph is the real deal.
ACC Louisville
SEC Georgia
BIG Iowa
PAC Arizona St
I'm curious, why Arizona state? They suck when they're supposed to be good, and they aren't even supposed to be good this year...

If Oklahoma State was 2nd place in the conference last season and was 10-3 are they still a sleeper?
And Iowa? the title game loser?

I think most are thinking those teams can to do well, but not well enough to win their conference and possibly win a big six bowl or a NC.

I felt like UCLA, USC aren't really sleepers. Mostly based on Todd Graham.

I don't have the time to keep up with all the teams, but I'll say GT for the ACC. They seem like they usually have a good year, followed by a bad one, followed by a good one.

In the SEC, I'll with South Carolina. They don't play Bama, LSU, or Ole Miss, so that right there should help their record.

They lost to UCLA and USC last year by a combined 7 points.
They also went 1-8 in conference and only beat one team that didn't have a losing record all year. If they even remotely contend in the Pac12 this season, there is something very, very wrong going on in that conference.

South Carolina didn't face Alabama or Ole Miss last year either and still went 3-9.

However, they had a coach that bolted mid-season, and was probably a few years too late to retire.

I think Will might bring a spark to the Cocks and likely be one of the surprises this year in the SEC.

Like I said with Colorado in the Pac12 - if South Carolina even remotely competes in the SEC this year, something is wrong with that conference. They have a very shallow talent pool right now compared to what they used to have. If Muschamp had the players he had at Florida and couldn't win, I find it extremely hard to believe South Carolina wins any more games this year than they did last.

Do you have to win the conference to be a sleeper? I didn't have that as a requirement

Well then what would you be a sleeper for? A sleeper to be somewhat kinda decent?

A team that will surprise you, in a positive way. Like saying that Colorado will win 8 games this year when they are expected to win 4.

So they'd be a surprise team. I've never heard sleeper used outside of a team to watch out for as they could contend in the conference.

Colorado winning 8 games is something I wouldn't bet a dollar on.

@michigan
@Oregon
@USC
@Stanford
@Arizona
vs. Utah
vs. Arizona State
vs. UCLA
vs. Washington State

I don't see them winning any of these games, maybe 1 or 2 in big upsets. That's about it.

Ah come on Exes, gotta give a little love to at least one other ACC team. How about Boston College makes a few first downs?

Wazzou is capable of shitting the bed. They did lose to Portland State last year.
