Mizzou just based on how good their defense should be
Wazzou is capable of shitting the bed. They did lose to Portland State last year.

You thinking Drew Lock, Marvin Zanders or QB by committee?Mizzou just based on how good their defense should be
But the thread is looking for sleepers - not programs that are comatose. In the SEC, I'll with South Carolina. They don't play Bama, LSU, or Ole Miss, so that right there should help their record.
It's not called "cougin' it" for nothing.Wazzou is capable of shitting the bed. They did lose to Portland State last year.

RB is better than last year almost by default. Hopefully much better. WR...they have to learn to catch the ball and keep their feet in bounds. Lots of games swung by the little things and they were a mess last year with the little things. I'm not entirely optimistic but I doubt they could be as bad as last year and certainly could be a lot better. Oline and QB are worries for me, though. I suspect Zanders might be the best option but I think QB committee is probably the direction they go.Drew Lock, although I could Zanders maybe playing a few snaps....just to let him run some. We have talent at WR. Strong qualifying and OU transfer were a big boost to RB position
Pac - UDUB
SEC - UGA
Big 12 - Texas (god help everybody if we find a QB and a defense)
B1G - Minny........I have no idea why
ACC - none, it's Clemson, FSU and nobody else

West Virginia in week 1 will be telling. They are basically the exact opposite of Mizzou and over/under on wins for them is 6.5 with Athlon thinking they go 8-4. If Mizzou's offense can't get to...lets say 24 points against WV then its going to be a very long season.
You can say that for half the teams in the country.

For the Big 10 I would rather have Purdue as a sleeper team...SEC: Vanderbilt
Big Ten: Minnesota
ACC: Pittsburgh
Pac-12: Colorado
Big 12: Texas Tech
AAC- South Florida(possible 10 wins and win division)
ACC- Louisville(possible 10 wins and win division)
B1G- Purdue(bowl game and upset of Top6)
B12- Iowa State(bowl game and upset of Top4)
PAC12- Washington State(possible 10 wins and win division)
SEC- Arkansas(possible 10 wins and win division)
