Should the Rams Trade for Philips Rivers?

I'm not sold on Rivers' statement about the move to LA. It's about an hour and a half drive so his family could live in San Diego County and could still play in LA.

I think his statement about possible destination has more to do with his future and those impending negotiations.

Would you want to make that 90 minute drive twice a day for 5 years?

I heard them talking about this on NFL radio this morning (During a 90 minute drive ironically )

And they were saying with an overnight or two he could get away with making the drive only a couple of times a week.

Yes I thought of that but if the Chargers give him a good chance of a Championship and the top pay that he can fetch, then maybe a few concessions will be considered...

I'm just saying the thought of a Chargers move to LA is not out of the question for PR to stay with the team...

Umm let's see because he is a proven top 5 QB? Has 37,000 yds 252 TD's 65 completion % 96 career QB rating? Gee I don't know why you would want this guy. You act like he's a dinosaur. He Most likely will be in the HOF when it's done. He's showed no signs of slowing down and I would be happy with him for the next 5 years. We would swap first rd picks so we would still be picking 17th where we could still get an Olinemen probably C.Erving.

Gee, Coug, you can keep throwing his stats out there, it doesn't matter, we all know what he has done, I've had him as my fantasy QB for the past three years, so I already know how good he is, with San Diego. Again he had great weapons with SD, again, we will not be throwing the ball all over the place, again, we have a QB that fits our team right now, again Rivers is not coming here! Again, why don't you understand any of this?
