Could not disagree more. Not all persons behave the same and giving some persons exactly what they want only leads to them crying for more. Some are just not happy so depriving them of all their wants leads them to appreciate what they already have more, but alas, with some you just can't please.
Well, I've been married to the same woman for 47 years. Over that time, I've found that she has as many faults as I do and that she overlooks many of mine and I, hers. I've also found that life is a lot more pleasant when she's not all twisted up over something I think is stupid but she considers important. She also knows everything I've done, has seen what happens when the gremlins get loose, has seen the photos of my past and loves me just the same. I'll make her as happy as I can and will protect her with all my being.

I wasn't remarking on how that statement applies to you. I was remarking about how the comment suits everyone. It's not a one size fits all approach.

The difference between us is that 47 years ago my wife and I made3 an agreement and have lived by it. Never go to bed with an issue unresolved and angry. You may not have the opportunity to resolve it in the morning. Many an argument was resolved in bed, and our agreement has always taken the edge off the anger, even when one of us had to be reminded. We now sleep in different beds and different rooms but we always take the time to settle a disagreement before I go to bed. Which is usually two or three hours before she does. At my age, I don't need to feel like I win every battle.
Just because the dead can't hear does not mean you can't be apologetic. I f you believe in a higher power then you probably believe they can hear you still. If you don't it doesn't matter how they feel since they're gone. If it's you to go and your loved one can't forgive then that's on them.

So you post thought provoking posts and others are not supposed to respond in kind? When will you realize I'm responding to thoughts presented only and not judging you as a person. This is a message board and as such I never expect anything posted to be a full, complete and concluded thought. That's why we have dialogue.
