Should Okie St be ranked

Isn't it big 12ers trying to get okie lite in?

I'm a PAC guy and at this point of the season the ole "eye test" is the biggest component. Since it has happened before it's a legit thought.

As soon as Okie Lite gets a win they're in the top 25, and if they keep playing like they did against FSU and winning you keep boosting them up. I must admit, they impressed me.

No. Although their defense looked pretty good, their offense was horrible. FSU looked pretty damn bad as well. They should drop a few spots for allowing them to stay in it as long as they have. Everyone that kept voting them #1 the last couple of years should be ashamed of themselves.

Isn't the whole point of the Top 25 to find the top 25 teams in the country? Or do I have all of this wrong?

The way I personally feel about the Top 25 is that teams should be judged based on a combination of how they play compared to how good their opponent is and what was expected to happen. I feel like the pokes put up a good enough fight to climb into the twenties in the poll. I've seen what they can do in a big game environment, and while it wasn't a victory, they played well from what I saw. Can I really say that Missouri or Washington is a better team than OSU just because they played the cream-puffiest of the cream puffs last night?

In my mind 1-0 is not always better than 0-1.

OSU should be ranked in the top 25, and they will be ranked in the top 25 at least in the AP Poll. I would be shocked if they not ranked in the top 25 at least in the AP poll which reacts to what happens on the field more then the Coaches poll does.

What? He'll no they shouldn't be ranked. At least not yet. Okie jr played a whale of a game but you can rank an unranked team after a loss no matter how good it looks. Going by this logic WVU should get some votes for top 25 as well if not be ranked.

The problem is it's impossible to ever justify moving a team up after losing, unless a whole heap of teams right ahead of them lost in worse fashion. That's just the way our ranking system has evolved, and people would probably freak out if it changed now.

But Okie State should have been ranked like 20th or so to start the season anyways. If they would have been, they wouldn't have dropped at all.

If that is going to happen, it will do so early in the season. Preseason ranks are just guesses, then they play the game and see where the chips fall. Okie St looked good. and FSU looked bad.

Yes. You can not tell me that FSU is #1 and OSU is unranked fer watching that game. We only have 1 week of evidence and if you say FSU is #1, than OSU should be ranked
