im curious on the Kings, they have 2 cups and 3 cup appearances. Yet they sit under Seattle, and the Caps. everything else Im pretty much in agreement with. except I think you gave the canucks too much credit only because I am mad at themOkay, so clearly not enough time this summer, so here is the whole list.

It's funny b/c I saw a Facebook "Top 10 NHL franchises" list just the other day and they had the Rangers at #8. Naturally a number of Rangers' fans were in the comments section complaining they weren't high enough. (rolls eyes)
In this ranking, I think they are partially at #15 because longevity and Cup wins give them an edge over many newer, Cupless franchises. However, the Rangers rank in the bottom half of the league for # of Cups/seasons played. For a team that had a few decades in the league with only 6 teams, I wouldn't disagree they are a little high.
Truth be told, the Detroit Lions and New York Rangers have existed for roughly the same amount of time and both have the same number of championships. I don't think any Lions' fans are arguing they are a top 10 franchise.
