Not at this point. Many average and below average teams tend to perform above their talent level for one or two games when they play a marquee team. If Okie St. puts together a string of impressive wins as the season progresses, I certainly think this loss will not hurt. Let's see how they do as the next few weeks play out.

They don't reward teams for playing tough in week one


Favorites get jittery all the time in the first week. Underdogs play with a healthy team and no fear.
You cannot give anyone a pat on the back for hanging around in week one.


Okie Junior will finish around 8-4. or 7-5.
They will probably have a few awesome wins....AND a few headscratching losses in the Big 12.

No. Although their defense looked pretty good, their offense was horrible. FSU looked pretty damn bad as well. They should drop a few spots for allowing them to stay in it as long as they have. Everyone that kept voting them #1 the last couple of years should be ashamed of themselves.

It's happened before. And I'd have no problem ranking them ahead of Clemson, UNC, Missouri or Washington. Do you really think Washington deserves to be ranked because they beat Hawaii by one point?

But got to give credit to Okie State and WVU, played the number 1 and 2 teams tough. Neither one was intimidated by their high ranked opponents. Now they just need to build of those games.


All I got to say is, the big12 can be a tough conference to run, have to play everybody, no skipping out.

my thoughts on early polls is that they should be much more fluid at this point

the rankings at this point are just trying to figure out who could beat who, i don't see the big deal in putting them in as long as pollsters are willing to move all teams around as much as they need to
