I don't see how these 2 signing impact Goff. Sewell is the best RT in football and St. Brown is a top 10 wr. Goff is not on their level.

He probably get between 40-45 because position. I don't think he nears 50.
If they wanted it under 50 they should have paid him already.

Watch them go QB in the draft and Goff walks after next season.

That would wild, although I've heard good things about Hooker (a 3rd round pick last draft). I think they would likely roll with him if they felt like Goff was not the QB they want to build around for the next 4-5 years.

LOL, yep. Would laugh so hard if they drafted Bo Nix or something with their 1st round pick.
Might not be a bad idea if they have a guy in mind....reset at the QB position after next seaaon and they can continue to add guys.

If they pay Goff 45-50 mill per it really hampers them moving forward.

Goff is almost useless if he has even a hint of pressure. Always has been. The more expensive that OL is for Detroit, the more of a liability to the cap Goff is. It's not sustainable really to build a contender that way.

If they could get him on a Geno/Mayfield type deal I could see it but think Goff wants to try and cash in.

I fully believe Detroit should make him the top paid QB in the league. 100%. Get it done!

He survived the draft lol. Really solid draft too (although I'm not sold on the OT prospect).

They should've passed on him and drafted another player in the secondary.... :pound:

That said, they got an absolute steal with Mahogany though...

The Lions will hand him a contract extension this off-season. The new money will be way closer to $50M than $40M annually. Probably over $50m annually in new money but just a touch over. Something like 4 year $210 on top of the 1 year $31 he is currently under would be my guess.

Russell Wilson’s contract 2 years ago is a bar they have to get over I would think.

If Lions maintain their Oline this will not be a terrible deal, but if Ragnow calls it quites and Manu and Mahagony can't fill in the interior they will regret it very very much.
