isn't there a rule now that teams that dont win their conference cant play for a NC?

Not a written rule. I don't even think there is a rule against two teams from same conference playing in BCSNCG.
The voters would bend over backwards to make sure it doesn't happen, hopefully.

there is no way it happens. no way. too many other teams have a chance to go unbeaten. ALl it takes it Oklahoma or Okie state to go unbeaten and they are in regardless. or even Wisconsin.

There looks to already be a traffic jam on unbeatens to play in the NCG.

I agree but it IS feasible. Bama wins by a last second field goal at home. How far does LSU drop? After that, if all those unbeatens lose how do keep LSU from climbing back up?? That's why I say that IF that happened, we would have a crazy voting after championship games.

No... never. It is not a National Championship game unless you are playing the other teams from the other part of the nation.

I could see a possibility if every team lost 2 games.

This question does not concern the OP, but could the Bama/LSU loser get into the NCG ahead of the winner, IF the winner loses the SEC Champ game? I'd assume the loser of Bama/LSU wouldn't drop too far in the polls and if, by the time the Championship games rolls around, we have the winner at #1, Boise/Clemson at #2 and loser at #3, winner loses SEC and drops 3 or 4 spots.
