Personally I think Ryan has more value . He's still a top 10ish QB and thats a ton more valuable than a WR1 especially given their respective injury histories . The dead cap # is prohibitive but if youre going full rebuild its still doable you'd just have to suck for a few years knowing you can't extend anyone or sign any FAs of consequence . Its probably still a year or 2 early though. I just feel bad fir the guys given how good they've been and to end it in Atl looking at being so bad
Ryan's best days are behind him.

Hoping the fire sale starts early this year huh?

Its not really early when you consider how bad the D has been since Quinn got there. Theres no reason to think he's going to magically turn it around this week.

Atlanta has had a SB offense for 4+ years and has made the playoffs twice. I mean what's the point of continuing to wait ? Neither guy is going to be more valuable next year
Alright I'm onboard now... 0-5 & firing the head coach. Yea I'd say this season is lost lol

I can't figure Matt Ryan out. Just when I think he's good he does this. He looks like a player who could revitalize his career with a change of scenery. I think Washington would be interested as they literally have no quarterback.

Yes, he is but he is losing his touch.
Eh hes still been good for the most part . Tough to judge with no OL , run game or D for 2+ years

Next season, right? Right now they have two QB's making a ton of money. Rivers $25M, Brissett $21M

I don't know what to make of Ryan. I've always thought he was a very good QB and obviously, Atlanta is a shit show but lately, he just looks lost out there. Granted, I haven't watched every snap but sometimes he looks like a raw rookie with some of his decisions and throws.
Having said that, I still consider him one of the better QBs but with his massive cap hit, can Atl even afford to trade him? Here's an interesting take, fwiw.

Trading Jones would incresae the Falcons 2021 cap number by $200K. Trading Ryan would increase the Falcons 2021 cap number by $3.525M. Given how easy it is to move cap hits around those numbers over a 2 or 3 year period are insignificant. It comes down to the Falcons desire to change direction and how much trade compensation they would demand.

Better to get something rather than nothing, if they do need to start over.

not sure who has the cap space to take on their contracts, but there are a few teams that could use those guys

That dude has to love his picture going viral.

Julio trying to say something there?

I have Ceedee in a keeper league, so I'm not sure if that would help that he gets coverage taken away from him or hurt me that more balls will be thrown Julio's way.

I'd imagine ATL would want at least one of the 3 WRs in Dallas, i think Dallas will say no if they insisted on CeeDee. I'd be willing to send Coop and Jaylon Smith to ATL

I would imagine that it would have to be Cooper to make the salaries work. Unless Dallas has a lot of cap space that I don't know about.

Cap wise it would have to be Coop. And honestly I don't want to lose Gallup.

You are missing the point.
ATL only trades to dump cap.
Getting another WR with a high cap won't do anything for them.
Dallas is not in the Market for Julio. they have receivers.
Wearing a dallas shirt in a workout while in Texas doesn;t likely mean anything.

Nothing about a trade to Dallas makes and sense. but Jerry.......

Atlanta has $835,000 of cap space and can't sign Pitts or anyone else that they drafted. They have wait until June 1 to trade anyone because the dead cap money will kill them until 2030.Right now a trade between the atriots and Falcons would benefit both teams.

Falcons get Stephon Gilmore who has a $7M salary and get rid of Julio's $22M salary. Net gain for the Falcons is $15M and they sign their draftees and have some leftover to sign a couple of FA. The Patriots and Julio rewrite his contract and he gets another upfront bonus that can be spread over 4 or years. Plus the Pats get a #1 WR that they haven't had since Randy Moss.
