Shaun Hill was not the answer for backup QB

The Rams made a big mistake this off season by not signing a good backup knowing that Bradford was coming off a serious knee injury.

That pass at the end of the first half by Shaun Hill shows why he has been a perennial backup and it is going to be a very long season with him at QB.

The sad part is he was the guy they wanted all along.

It's not like he was their 3rd or 4th option.

I am really starting to wonder about Fisher and Les Snead and their ability to put together a winning team. This team has just not gotten any better after all of the draft picks, Austin looks like a wasted pick. Pead isn't even playing and now the second pick of the last draft isn't even starting. They have just missed on most of the draft picks in the last 3 years.

Their picks have been questionable from the start.

The trade with Washington made sense and set them up for the future. But Quick and Pead picks were head scratchers even when they made them, and now Pead is officially a bust and Quick is only now coming around.

Trading up for Austin was a HUGE mistake- PERIOD! They should've stayed put or just traded down. Patterson does everything Austin can do but doesn't and went later. And the 2nd round pick they traded could've netted Eddie Lacy. Oops!

Then, this year they should've traded down instead of drafting another project LT that can't even start at G. Donald was an ok pick but there were definitely bigger needs to be addressed than DL. They traded up for Joyner that cost them a 5th round pick where all the decent developmental QB's were taken.

If they are around next year ( which I think they will be due to the Bradford injury happening that gives them an excuse ), and they will screw up next years draft as well.

Yea that is what every fan now believes Angelakeram. That if they do get a high draft pick, they'll screw it up and miss one of the top QBs in a QB-talent-loaded draft.

It's like they overthink everything or try and get cute with their picks and it just backfires dramatically.

I was hoping the RAMS would of traded for Cousins when he was up for grabs. Sticking with Bradford was a huge mistake. I knew he sucked even before his injury. Then Hill a guy that looks 100 years old on the field as a backup. I knew the RAMS were in trouble as of today.

Yea. They just have things in the FO completely flipped. They go to the combine, they get a stiffy for somebody, and they don't think things through. Then like you stated, they over-under think things, try to appear competent, pull some ridiculous reach move, and end-up looking like a couple of stooges and its been going on now for a good decade no matter who is in there.

how long has Kevin Demoff been the COO? Perhaps he needs to go along with Snead.

Sometimes, I wish Kroenke would open up his mouth and say what is really on his mind. However, I'm beginning to think he doesn't care.

I'm not sure why anyone would think Hill was the answer to anything. The guy is a career backup for a reason, plus he's in his mid 30's.

I am just surprised that they have missed on almost every pick not one great player from all those picks and now the team had one of the worst games in the entire NFL.

This latest round of drafting screw ups started with selecting a QB that didn't even play in his senior year.

No, No rmilia, Sanchez still sucks. All we would have needed yesterday to make this 2014 version of a dog and pony show complete is to have Sanchez come in and demonstrate the butt fumble!:pound:

Sucks would have been an upgrade over what you guys threw out on the field yesterday.

Perhaps rmilia but now we are just discussing degrees. We already have that with the signing of Keenum. I suppose Sanchez would be mots.

I don't care who the qb is, until the o line figures out how to win the line of scrimmage no qb is safe
