Agree! The Phillies are afraid to pitch to Stanton. But why walk him when no one is on base? He hits a home run in every 14 at bats, not every game!

When you are afraid of a batter like Stanton, it just sends a message through both teams that you are not confident in your pitcher to go after the guy, Northeast. Nearly every time we have done this with Stanton, the result comes back to bite us in the ass. This was another example.

Through five innings, Burnett is pushing 90 pitches which isn't good either.

Burnett just screwed-up (Forgot the pitch and crossed up Rupp) Rupp and Rupp lost the ball and the runners move up.

Now the wheels are coming off with that sinker that got away from Rupp and another run scores. Time to step away for some dinner. This is getting ugly quickly.

Ruiz suffered a concussion against Atlanta and he is not responding. Rupp nearly lost another dirt ball. I am not sure Burnett should stay in the game anymore. He did get out of the inning without any further damage though.
