I typically associate the SEC with high level athletes and lower level coaching and program culture.
Grant Williams got tackled. Real basketball, I'd agree, but it's 2019 basketball.Disgraceful that Tenn/Vandy went to OT. Bogus flagrant called to give Tenn foul shots with Vandy up 6 with around 1:30 left.
Lulz. Even though Tennessee is ranked #1, they're legit #5-10, no 5 stars, no one and dones, a team who was picked to finish the 2018 season last in the SEC. Not gonna act like you should respect or agree with their ranking but to use Kentucky and Florida as your examples and ignore what Rick Barnes has done, makes you sound like Dick Vitale.I typically associate the SEC with high level athletes and lower level coaching and program culture.
For example, a school like Alabama can pull much better recruits than say a school like Butler, typically. But Butler is all about basketball, and the kids are more likely to play together.
So, SEC schools will typically underperform their talent level. With the exception of UK and UF of course, those are basketball schools.

Florida hasn't been good since Billy left. Prior to the 2000's, they weren't worth much either. Maybe that's what you consider history? Calipari has won the same amount of NC's as Tubby Smith. Kentucky is good. But to use Calipari's failures to judge the entire SEC is Dick Vitalish. Again the 2017-2018 Vols were picked to finish last in the SEC. They ended up winning the SEC regular season. Failed to beat Loyola Chicago. Now they're a top team in the nation. Like I already said #5-#10. They've done it with 3 star guys. If coaches like Rick Barnes aren't getting the best out of 2-3 star guys, then the SEC should just fold up shop.I think he was speaking more generally as opposed to this year. Historically, or at least this century it's been UF and UK and then everyone else. Within the last 3/4 seasons the recruiting has gotten better with guys like Howland at MSU, Pearl at Auburn, Kennedy at A&M and lately with Wade and Drew. But those guys have only made a combined 4 tournaments in a combined like 18 seasons.

Fast Forward...Yes, they arePause. Rewind. Maybe not?
A&M needs a new head coach.
Please tell me you are jokingThe rest of the SEC disagrees.
