The Mariners find themselves well short of that number, sources told ESPN. The person who tested positive will isolate for at least 10 days, and any close contacts will be required to miss at least seven days if unvaccinated, according to the league's protocol.

They tempted fate and lost. Just like in every other aspect of their profession, but this time it was the players tempting fate and not owner/management.

Why I like professional additions to the roster. On field and off field value.

So the one thing that I don't really understand is with the readily available for most, why do the M's still have very high amount of unvaccinated players? Was it by personal choice from the players? Or the organization is not doing enough to get the players vaccinated? What's the deal here?

Edit: Read a couple more tweets down on this this thread. Seems like it's mostly personal choices by the players. DISAPPOINTING.

Yeah this is on the players. IMO if you were on the fence about a player who isn't performing (which is most guys on the team) and then you had this, it would seem to make sense just to get rid of them.

Hey, if there's any positive to take from this, maybe we'll see some relief before we end up losing a THIRD no-hitter.

Just when you think this team has ran out of ways to be worse they once again prove you wrong.

'Refuse to win'.

And work hard at it.

Right.
while this may not be on the team directly they haven’t earned the benefit of the doubt ever.

Or just change this year's slogan.

'SEA US QUIT'

Eh, I don’t know. If this organization is as cheap as we all believe I doubt they should do something that might lead to litigation and a loss of a lot money.

Yeah I mean I’m not saying you’d cut a Seagar, Kelenic, Haniger, Lewis, etc. More along the lines of someone who’s a fringe roster guy who had this issue but you could use performance reasons. Not sure that’s something the MLBPA could combat but idk
