better catch the SPURS early

They are banged up like usual....but then they go bezerk after the all star break

The injury bug is pretty bad to start the season as usual.

Tiago Splitter, Patty Mills, Kawahi Leonard, and possibly Manu will not play tonight.

Any of the 4 are big blow, but the Spurs are nothing if not consistent with a ton of first half injuries.

It will be a tough opening month for the champs.

Can't believe it but.... I want the Lakers to win. I think Houston is a boarderline playoff team this year with how much worse they got during the offseason. No depth... at all. Also, we need the Lakers to not be one of the worst 5 teams in the league this year so we get their 1st rounder! :suds:

"When you've been around it, you know who can coach and who can't coach," Popovich said. "Becky is one of those people. She's a Steve Kerr. She's a Doc Rivers. She's those kind of people. They have a feel for the game that they want to continue to participate in."

She's a Steve Kerr :)

She's a bit more masculine than Stevie

...which is saying something considering how very feminine she is:pound:.

Considering the deal that Bledsoe got, what is the fair market value for Kemba Walker?

He helped turn a bottom feeder into a playoff team while averaging 18/6/4.

Charlotte Hornets owner Michael Jordan says it’s his desire and intent to sign point guard Kemba Walker to a contract extension by the NBA’s Friday deadline. "I’d much rather get Kemba done before the season starts," Jordan told the Observer Tuesday. "Ultimately that’s what I intend to accomplish. We’re in real conversations. I’m hopeful. Really hopeful."

Al Jefferson, an All-NBA center, can opt out of the final season on his deal this summer and become an unrestricted free agent. "You are always concerned – more so with Al because he’s totally unrestricted," Jordan said. "They are core pieces of what we’re trying to do…I’d like to keep both of those guys. I say I’d like to and I’d spend the money that’s appropriate. I’ll make every attempt to keep them."

Kemba gets a 4 year 48 mil deal. That's 2 mil. per year less than Bledsoe's deal. Sounds about right... Kemba isn't as great of a defender as Bledsoe, but he's a better perimeter offensive player. Overall though, I say I'd still take Bled over Kemba.

Depends on what your team needs though, I suppose.

Oh gawd. Scratch that... Kemba is a career 39 percent shooter? Nevermind.... that deal may be too much.

Damn. Is kind of fitting that it's almost Halloween and Vincent Price is dressed up as the NBA Commissioner.
