I am not into booing but if I was at this game I might let it rip just to let out my frustrations.

He was perfect and Bonilla hit the ump in the junk. Good stuff.

Ha Ha! Was playing a high school game and the catcher was bragging he never wore a cup. Guy fouled one down in the dirt and it bounced up. Catcher called timeout and went into the woods to put a cup on. What a knucklehead he was.

Shocked at JPA catching too. I bet ESPN will be filled with JD blame after Robbie gives up some runs tonight. Let's see...JPA will be to blame for Robbie giving up runs. I am calling it now.

There are only two things to blame JPA for and he really can't do anything about either of them. He is a bad catcher and he is a bad hitter. Any blame given to him really should be laid at the feet of those responsible for having him on their team.

Because our young RP would have a better catcher calling a better game so we could put some packages to trade some this offseason if they did well.

I was right...it happened. Robbie sucked tonight and it wasn't because JPA caught him. I know you know that though.

As a most difficult season winds down, Maddux, whose contract as pitching coach expires after the season, finds himself torn.

He said he would love to return to the Rangers for a seventh season. Manager Ron Washington has said he’d love for Maddux to return. Who wouldn’t? Under Maddux, the Rangers have posted the five lowest-season ERAs in the 20-year history of Globe Life Ballpark. And with word that Maddux planned to accompany Washington on MLB’s All-Star tour of Japan in November, it seemed like things were moving toward a resolution.

The situation, however, has become complicated in the last week. Much more so. For Maddux. And the Rangers.

Houston fired manager Bo Porter. Maddux, who previously interviewed for managerial jobs with the Chicago Cubs and Boston Red Sox, acknowledged Thursday that he would be “very interested” in talking to the Astros about their position.

It’s an about-face for Maddux. He declined to interview for the Astros job two years ago when Porter was eventually hired. And with Nolan Ryan on the Astros’ unofficial search committee, Maddux, along with Rangers Triple-A manager Steve Buechele, will likely get strong endorsements for interviews.

Rangers bench coach Tim Bogar, who interviewed twice with Houston before Porter was hired, also figures to be a candidate.
