Im not fighting a losing battle. I said it wasn’t a guarantee the Eagles win but if the 96 Bulls lost a game 7 because Jordan was out and Paxon replaced him I’d feel the same way. Sure, maybe Wentz has 3 fumbles. Maybe he puts a game winning TD in someone’s hands and they drop it. But Seattle looked like a very mediocre team. Philly was mediocre all year and were out 4 pro bowlers just on Offense including the leader and best player on our team. If the tables were turned and an Eagle laid a cheap shot on Wilson and he got knocked out the 1st quarter I’d feel the same way for Seattle.
I fail to accept the thought that a QB throwing only 4 passes was struggling. The truth is Wilson made 2 great passes that won the game. We needed very little from our star QB to win that game.

And why are you equating Wentz with Michael Jordan?...

Because you're retarded?

Yeah PDay. Tell me my entire body of work of excuse making. I have thousands of posts. Tell me two times I made excuses.

No irony at all. I’m being accused of always making excuses. Am I this time? Absolutely. Do I have a long history of it? Absolutely not.

You're the best buddy...:suds:

Here’s all I’m saying...
1. It doesn’t matter because Philly didn’t lose out on a SB shot
2. Our D played sooooo much better then the first game. They absolutely destroyed Seattle’s run game and were actually pretty good against the pass which is rare for our poor secondary
3. Since our and most other teams backups are pretty damn shitty we would have had a much MUCH better chance at winning with Wentz.

I especially love his point 2. He attributes the lack of a run game to philly D and how it “destroyed”. Seattle literally was signing RBs off the street to play in this game. If the situation was reversed he’d be whining about injuries instead, when it’s the other team, his response is the eagles “destroyed”.

This guys bullshit never ends.

Don’t get what you are saying at all. Makes no sense.
I'm kind of surprised it has to be explained, but...you make a strong statement saying show me two times I have ever made an excuse - as if to say that you never make excuses and thus in 10 years of posting someone would not be able to find even two excuses that you have made.

Then less than an hour later you admit to having made an excuse and that excuse was just made the previous day.

I thought it was pretty clear why I got a chuckle out of that :noidea:

So now it's a much better chance with Wentz. Your first post on the subject you flat out stated the Eagles "win" if Wentz stays in the game. This is why everyone sees you as an idiot, btw. And as for your secondary, they got torched to the tune of 160 yds by a rookie.
Look, obviously a team has a better shot with their starting QB. That's a given but your starting QB is a moron who doesn't protect himself and is brittle as fuck and frankly, is a fumbling idiot that holds the ball too long and despite talent, doesn't play the QB position all that great. Saying he wins that game is utter BS. If a cowboy fan makes that claim, you and all the other Eagles fans are jumping all over it.

I don't know what a "real" chance would be but there's always a chance. That's why they play the games. That's why the teams (that aren't tanking) fight so hard to make the playoffs. I guess it's not as bad seeing a 9-7 team lose their first playoff game as it would be if the Ravens or 49ers came out and lost this week but still you always want to think your team has a chance.
That's the point. I did fully believe Seattle should have beat the eagles (no offense) so it would have been slightly disappointing to lose under some controversy, but not expecting them to reach the superbowl anyway, I wouldn't have freaked out over it.

I don't expect Seattle to win this weekend so if they lost a close one on a bad ref call or something, I won't be bitching about it a week later.

It's just sports.

And, their D was so much better than the first time.... but gave up the same amount of points. :L

That's reaching for a moral victory big time.

Holding any team to 17 points is a defensive win in today's NFL.

Ok, but it was the same 17 points in the first game between them. And that first time Seattle had more of their players.

How was the D better in this one facing a lot of 2nd and 3rd stringers (and retired rbs) when they gave up as many points?

It's a failure of trying to grasp for moral victories

One day he'll figure out why I say he often makes over the top posts.

Then again he's stubborn so maybe he won't figure it out.
